Kris Cooper looked at where she was pointing. There were no visible injuries on the surface, which made him even more worried.
If it were an external injury, it would be straightforward. But since there were no visible marks, he worried she might have broken a bone.
He immediately frowned anxiously, rushing to the closet and casually pulling out a pair of sweatpants to put on.

After pulling on the pants, Kris Cooper didn’t even change his top. He rushed over to Vera, wrapped a blanket around her, and said, "We’re going to the hospital right now."

Looking up, Vera met his concerned eyes. Steeling her resolve, she reached out, wrapped her arms around his neck, and leaned in towards his lips.
She wanted to kiss him, but in her panic and inexperience, she awkwardly bumped his teeth.
Her front teeth ached, but she paid it no mind, simply parting her lips and kissing his.
Without any experience, she naturally didn’t know how to kiss properly, so she just clumsily pressed her lips against his.

She hugged him tighter, taking advantage of the moment he started to speak.
The blanket wrapped around her had long since slipped off. Her cool, bare arms were wrapped around his neck, and through the loose collar of his shirt, he could clearly feel her soft skin.
It felt as if a fire had instantly blazed through his body. A strong urge to embrace her tightly welled up within him, but Kris Cooper fought to control himself and gently pushed her away.
"Vera, stop fooling around!"
Vera didn’t say anything. She just threw herself into his arms again, her voice trembling as she whispered in his ear.
"Tonight, I... I want to be with you."
Lifting his hand, he gently pushed her away again. Kris Cooper’s attractive eyes narrowed slightly as he met her gaze.
The young woman’s face flushed so red it seemed blood could be squeezed from it. Shy and feeling a little guilty, she didn’t dare to meet his eyes. Her voice, barely louder than a mosquito’s buzz, replied.
He raised his hand, gently holding her chin, and asked again.

Her long eyelashes trembled, but her voice was filled with resolve.
His fingers gently traced her lips, caressed her flushed cheek, and moved to the back of her head. He drew a soft breath.
She instinctively inhaled. Just as she’d drawn half a breath, his lips covered hers, leading to a deep kiss that nearly stole her breath away.
All other sounds gradually faded away. She could only hear her heart pounding heavily in her chest, and then, even that sound seemed to disappear.
All that remained in her ears were ragged, hurried breaths—both hers and his.
