Stubborn as a mule, aren't you? Are you doing this on purpose? Vera Wave cursed inwardly. When she thought about the six thousand USD, she managed to hold back.
"You don't even know this? It's obviously for tying up dogs. Just in case you bring in a pet, it can prevent them from running around."
"Ohh," Kris Cooper responded, dragging out the word. He casually plucked the small black whip off the wall and used its tip to lift her chin. "So, this, it's not for hitting dogs, is it?"
How is she going to explain this?! His eyes were filled with an amused look.
Six thousand USD! Six thousand USD! Six thousand USD! After repeating her calming mantra several times in her mind, Vera Wave snatched the whip from him and waved it in front of his handsome face.
"Ignorance is truly terrifying! This is called a duster, understand? It's used to swat flies!"
"Ohh," Kris Cooper feigned surprise, looking around. "Can I watch television?"
"Of course, you can."
Vera Wave looked around and spotted a remote controller on the bedside. She sat on the bed and pressed the power button, aiming it at the television.
With a light hum, the television remained off, but the bed underneath her started moving.
Turns out, she had grabbed the wrong remote controller—not for the television, but for the electric bed.
Vera Wave was startled and jumped up with a scream. Kris Cooper had already walked over to her, so her jump landed her right into his arms.
His arms encircled her waist, and Kris Cooper bent down to look at the girl's flustered little face.
"Is this part of your membership service too?"
"What are you... what on earth are you talking about!" Vera Wave's face turned red as she desperately tried to break free from his grip. "I... I was just demonstrating our electric bed. As you can see... it's fully automatic. It even has... massage... vibration... several modes. You can sleep and get a massage at the same time, isn't that comfortable!"
She looked up to realize he was already standing dangerously close. She instinctively stepped back but, being already on the edge of the bed, she stumbled and fell right back onto it.
With the bed vibrating beneath her, her poor heart fluttered in response. "What... what are you doing?"
"Testing out the bed," Kris Cooper said, casually taking a seat next to her. "How am I supposed to know if it's bouncy enough if I don't try it out?"
"Don't worry. These are all imported, top quality," Vera Wave patted the bed. "It's plenty bouncy!"
Her eyes swept across the pillow and noticed another remote controller. Her eyes lit up – the television remote was here all along!
She picked up the remote and turned on the television. "You see? Lying in bed, getting a massage while watching television, isn't that wonderful?"
Just as her voice fell, the television screen flickered to life. Immediately, suggestive female moans filled the room.
"Ah... Mmm... Stop it..."
Watching the adult movie on the screen, Vera Wave almost dropped the remote in shock. Her first instinct upon recovering was to turn off the television.
The screen went black, but the room didn't quiet down.
She could distinctly hear her own heart pounding like a frantic drum.
"It indeed is quite enjoyable!" Kris Cooper said, casually lying down on the bed. "Didn't you say there was Pizza Hut? Get me a pizza."
"That's only available after you get a Membership Card and check in."
Thinking he can eat without paying? Not a chance!
"I'll need to look at the other rooms in the Clubhouse before deciding. But I'm hungry now and too weak to check them out."
She might have been fine if he hadn't mentioned it, but as soon as he spoke of delicious food, Vera Wave found her mouth watering. She had always had a small appetite. She got full quickly and hungry quickly too.
