She waved a hand in front of his face.
"Nothing," Kris Cooper snapped back to reality. "Just recalling some past events."
"Hurry and eat. The food will get cold soon. You tech guys often stay up late and have irregular meals; you really need to take care of your stomach..."
As she spoke, she took the initiative to put food on his plate. Seeing the food piled high on his plate, Kris Cooper smiled. He sat up straighter and began to eat seriously.
With her stomach full, Vera Wave sat to the side, silently watching him eat.
