"Want a discount? Alright. Since you've had me for the night, we'll call it an all-nighter!"
Booking a spot for an all-nighter at an internet cafe is always cheap, she recalled. Surely, booking him for the whole night would be more cost-effective than paying by the hour!
"Okay, okay!" Vera Wave chirped, a fawning smile plastered on her face. "So... how much for the all-nighter?"
Kris Cooper registered her expression. The corner of his lips lifted into a charming smile, and his sensual lips parted to softly utter two words. "100,000."
Upon hearing this completely unexpected figure, Vera's expression changed instantly. 100,000? He might as well just ask for my life!
"Why don't you just go rob a bank!"
The man gritted his teeth silently. "And that doesn't even include the 100,000 I paid for your grandmother's hospital bill, or your emergency treatment costs, which totaled 367. You have to pay me back for those too!"
"What 'all-nighter'? You didn't even provide any services! You just sat here all night and now you want to get paid? Who knows how good your 'skills' are? What if you're all show and no go? This is fraud! I'm going to report you to the consumer protection agency!"
Kris Cooper raised his hands and pushed her down onto the pillow. "Alright then, I'll provide that service for you right now!"
It happened so suddenly that Vera almost gasped for breath. When she focused her eyes, the man's face was already right in front of hers.
Morning light streamed in from the side of the curtains, casting a pale golden glow on his face. Staring at that exquisite countenance so close to hers, Vera's heart instantly began to pound erratically.
