In the Hokage office of Konoha Village, a new day begins. The Fifth Hokage, Tsunade, is busy with paperwork when she suddenly hears a commotion outside her office.
"Really, Naruto!" Sakura’s voice can be heard, "You haven’t fully recovered yet. You should listen to the nurse and stay in bed!"
"No! I want to wait here for Kakashi-sensei with Granny Tsunade!"
Despite his injuries, Naruto’s voice is as loud and annoying as ever.
"You two! Stop making a fuss here! It will disturb the Hokage’s work!" A ninja standing at the door, serving as Tsunade’s guard, tries to intervene.
"Let us in! I want to see Granny Tsunade!"
"Naruto, you! We can just wait outside the door!"
"No!"
Tsunade’s forehead veins pop in frustration, causing her to crush the pen in her hand.
"Lady Tsunade, do you need anything?" Shizune, standing by her side, quickly asks.
Tsunade slams the paperwork onto her desk and yells towards the door, "Let those two brats in!"
"Yes, Hokage-sama."
The guarding ninja opens the door, revealing a furious Naruto and an anxious Sakura.
Seeing the office door open, Naruto drags Sakura inside, ignoring everyone and loudly greets, "Granny Tsunade! I’m here!"
"Naruto!" Tsunade slams her fist on the desk and scolds, "You little brat! If you don’t want to stay quietly in the hospital, I’ll use my fist to make you lie down!"
Naruto immediately halts and steps back, cold sweat running down his bandaged face.
Scratching his cheek, he sheepishly asks, "Uh, Granny Tsunade, Kakashi-sensei left yesterday to find Sasuke, right? Right?"
Tsunade retracts her threatening fist and asks indifferently, "Who told you Kakashi went to find Sasuke?"
"Come on, Granny Tsunade, don’t hide it from me!" Naruto places his hands on his hips, boasting, "Shino just said he saw Kakashi-sensei leaving the village yesterday."
Sakura gives Naruto a speechless look.
Really, this idiot! Just like that, he sold out Shino!
"So, you guessed it," Tsunade waves her hand dismissively at Naruto, "Kakashi left the village for a mission. It’s not something a Genin like you should inquire about! Now, go back to the hospital immediately!"
"No!" Naruto sits on the ground, stubbornly arguing, "Granny Tsunade must be lying. I’ll wait here for Kakashi-sensei to return!"
Bang!
Frustrated by Naruto’s antics, Sakura, feeling extremely embarrassed, slams her hand on Naruto’s head, angrily saying, "Really, Naruto! Don’t be so rude in front of Lady Tsunade!"
Unmoved, Naruto retorts, "Hey, Sakura, Kakashi-sensei must have gone to find Sasuke. You want to know the news as soon as possible, right?"
Sakura’s forehead also throbs with irritation, quietly scolding, "That’s why I said we should wait quietly outside!"
While dragging Naruto out, she turns back to bow politely, "I’m terribly sorry for disturbing you, Lady Tsunade."
"Forget it," Tsunade waves her hand, resignedly saying, "If you want to wait, then wait. But keep quiet."
"Yes."
Approaching noon, Kakashi returned to the village.
As he was about to report to the Hokage’s office, he found the two members of Team 7 squatting in the hallway.
"Kakashi-sensei! Did you find Sasuke?" Naruto immediately ran over to ask upon seeing Kakashi. "Where is Sasuke?"
"Kakashi-sensei." Sakura also hurriedly greeted him.
Seeing their gaze involuntarily move behind him, Kakashi could only helplessly say, "Alright, stop looking. Sasuke hasn’t come back."
He approached and knocked on the Hokage’s office door, meanwhile instructing, "You two, don’t block here. We’ll talk later; I have to report to the Hokage."
"Is there any news about Sasuke? We want to listen too!" Naruto persisted, following behind him.
Then, the office door opened, and Shizune greeted from the doorway, "Kakashi, you’re back. Lady Tsunade is calling for you."
Naruto peeked out from behind Kakashi and asked, "What about me? What about me? Did Granny Tsunade call for me and Sakura?"
"Such an annoying brat! All of you, come in!" Tsunade’s voice came from inside.
"Lady Hokage." Kakashi entered the office, greeted, and added, "You’re back, Kakashi. Hard work."
Tsunade put down her pen, looked up, and asked, "How did it go? Did you find any useful clues?"
"Yes, I saw Sasuke himself and the person who took him away, but it was they who showed up on their own."
"Sasuke is where? Kakashi-sensei, why didn’t you bring him back?" Naruto’s voice rose again in question.
"So, please explain the details," Tsunade instructed Kakashi.
Then, turning to a muzzled Naruto by Sakura, she shouted, "Naruto, quiet! If you interrupt again, get out!"
Sakura quickly pressed down on Naruto’s neck, bowed, and promised, "I’m very sorry, Lady Tsunade. I’ll keep an eye on him."
Naruto nodded vigorously in agreement.
Kakashi ignored his students and detailed the situation to Tsunade.
"Uchiha Kaito?" After hearing Kakashi’s report, Tsunade frowned and asked, "Have you never heard of this person in the village before?"
"Never," Kakashi replied, "The Uchiha clan was numerous, and since Uchiha Kaito didn’t choose to become a ninja, probably only those within the Uchiha knew him. Now that the Uchiha clan no longer exists, it might be difficult to find information on him."
"This is troublesome! So, based on your observation, is this person an enemy or an ally to Konoha?" Tsunade massaged her forehead and continued to inquire.
"Well...I can’t say for sure," Kakashi admitted without giving a definite conclusion.
"You two," he turned to Naruto and Sakura, "now you know Sasuke isn’t in danger, just following his uncle. I have more to discuss with the Hokage, so you can go back now."
"Okay, Kakashi-sensei."
Sakura responded and left with a disheartened Naruto.
As they left the Hokage building and headed toward the hospital, Sakura asked, "Naruto, what’s wrong?" noticing his silence.
"Nah, Sakura, do you think Sasuke will never come back?" Naruto uncertainly said, "After all, he left with his uncle."
"I don’t know..." Sakura’s mood also fell.
"But it’s nice, isn’t it?" Naruto looked up at the sky and murmured, "Sasuke still found his family."
