Sasuke carried a tea tray to the door, and Yūrei had already opened it.
"You’ve worked hard, Sasuke. Give it to me," Yūrei reached out to take the tray.
"Then I’ll be on my way," Sasuke prepared to turn and leave.
"Sasuke, come in," Kaito’s voice called out.
"What’s the matter?" Sasuke followed Yūrei into the room.
"Have a seat first," Kaito gestured to a cushion nearby and then picked up a teacup.
Sasuke knelt down, glanced at the array of magic circles drawn on the ground, and asked, "What is it?"
"Ahh..."
Kaito took a sip of hot tea, sighed contentedly, and then carefully examined Sasuke’s condition.
"Not bad, your eyes’ evolution has reached a critical point."
"Of course," Sasuke couldn’t help but feel happy.
"Don’t get too excited just yet, Sasuke," Kaito poured cold water on his enthusiasm.
"What do you mean?" Sasuke frowned.
"You must have noticed it yourself," Kaito said, "The progress in training the secret art of mental energy has slowed down."
"Isn’t that normal?" Sasuke replied.
"It is normal," Kaito nodded, "But the evolution of the Sharingan is not so simple. Especially when it comes to awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan, which requires a large amount of mental energy."
"Although your eyes are just one step away, this step is not easy to take."
"So what should I do?" Sasuke asked.
"There’s nothing extra you need to do," Kaito smiled reassuringly, "Just continue training steadily. I said all this just to remind you that you’ve come this far. It may take more time than you expect, but don’t get impatient."
"I understand," Sasuke reluctantly agreed.

"Are you planning to let Sasuke accumulate combat experience in dreams?" Yūrei asked curiously.
"That’s one way to put it," Kaito nodded.
"It seems like your idea might not be feasible," Yūrei cautioned, "Even if one remembers their dreams after waking up, the memories often become blurry. While it’s fine for theoretical knowledge, combat experiences won’t feel real."
"I know," Kaito smiled, "That’s why I need you to help set up a magic circle to solve this issue."
"I see. I understand now. I’ll do my best," Yūrei became interested.
"Let’s start researching!" Kaito eagerly put down his tea cup and took out paper and pen.
"Huh?" Yūrei was surprised, "Starting already? What about the Divine Tree research?"
"I haven’t had any new ideas for now, so I decided to switch tasks and clear my mind," Kaito explained.
"Alright, I’ll follow your lead," Yūrei also put down her tea cup and leaned in.

Fukasaku Sage hopped into the grand hall where the Great Toad Sage resided.
"Hmm?" The Great Toad Sage barely opened his drooping eyelids, "What is it, Fukasaku?"
"Elder, I’ve received news from Ryūchi Cave," Fukasaku reported as he jumped to the base of the Great Toad Sage’s platform.
"Oh?" The Great Toad Sage fully opened his eyes, "Go on."
"Shinya has suddenly made a move, demanding that Ryūchi Cave bet on Uchiha Kaito’s side. The White Snake Sage seems somewhat inclined," Fukasaku respectfully reported, "If Ryūchi Cave joins the battle on a large scale, they will undoubtedly suffer heavy losses."
"Don’t get too excited, the White Snake may not have foresight, but it has always been cautious," the Great Toad Sage calmly responded, "It won’t make a reckless gamble."
"That’s true," Fukasaku Sage said regretfully, "Shinya was already discarded a thousand years ago."
"Ryūchi Cave’s forces are not a concern. Their bloodline has become increasingly diluted," the Great Toad Sage said, "The few powerful ones left lack the ability to transform into dragons and don’t have much time left."
"Indeed. Thanks to your wisdom in aligning with the Sage of the Six Paths, Mount Myōboku has prospered," Fukasaku Sage looked at the elderly leader with reverence.
"The Slug Sage of Shikkotsu Forest is the one who has hidden the deepest," the Great Toad Sage remarked, "For so many years, it has kept a low profile, and no one knows what it’s thinking."
"Indeed, the slugs were just low-level creatures a thousand years ago," Fukasaku Sage mused, "But now, Shikkotsu Forest is renowned alongside Mount Myōboku and Ryūchi Cave as one of the Three Great Sage Regions."
"It has maintained a harmless image and gained fame in the ninja world for its healing abilities," the Great Toad Sage said, "Its combat power may not be high, but its survival skills are unmatched."
"Although we don’t know its stance, we shouldn’t worry about it doing anything unexpected," Fukasaku Sage said.
"Who knows if the combat power it displays is its true strength?" The Great Toad Sage sighed, "To be honest, even though the Three Great Sage Regions are equally renowned, neither the White Snake nor I have ever had direct dealings with it."
"Hmm?" Fukasaku Sage was puzzled, "Although we no longer belong to the world of Yokai, combat power is still determined by species’ inherent abilities, isn’t it?"
"Yes, but for now, let’s not worry about it. We just need to preserve the power of Mount Myōboku," the Great Toad Sage instructed, "According to my visions, the Child of Prophecy will save the world, but Kaguya will only be sealed once again."
"Elder, in your dreams, didn’t you see Uchiha Kaito?" Fukasaku Sage asked, somewhat uncertain.
"No, perhaps as an Onmyoji, he instinctively shields his fate from being spied on by others. But he remains a variable," the Great Toad Sage said with a tone full of experience.
