Boom!
A huge explosion resonated, and the area where the two were fighting was engulfed in thick smoke.
"Amazing!"
"What happened?"
"Did they defeat the enemy?"
"Damn, I can’t see clearly."
The watching Leaf Village patrol members eagerly fixed their eyes on the scene, nervously discussing among themselves.
"You don’t seem worried about your companion at all," Kakashi asked Kaito with a curious tone.
Kaito, seemingly unfazed by the kunai at his neck, nodded naturally and said, "No need to worry, Izuna-senpai is very strong."
"Is that so, Guy is also extremely strong."
Izuna? A name Kakashi hadn’t heard before, he slightly frowned.
At that moment, the dust on the battlefield began to clear, and the figures of Izuna and Might Guy reappeared before everyone.
"Hah... hah..."
Might Guy, panting, looked in the direction of his attack and then widened his eyes in surprise, "A clone formed from flames? When did that happen?"
Izuna’s battered body stood quietly in place, but the parts of his body that were hit had completely turned into flames, burning intensely in the air.
"Heh, you shouldn’t have used that long-range attack with flames," half of his face still retained a human appearance, while the other half had turned into burning flames.
"Uchiha are the experts of Fire Release."
No sooner had he spoken than his entire body transformed into flames, sweeping towards Might Guy.
Might Guy, using his exceptional physical skills, dodged the flame attack in an instant and leaped to an open area nearby, then began looking around.
"Where is the real body?"
He posed again, ready to strike.
"Right here."
Izuna’s voice came from the other side; Might Guy quickly turned his head only to find that Izuna had already appeared among the watching Leaf ninjas, holding his sword to the neck of Shun.
"We’re even now," Izuna stood behind Shun, revealing a slightly malicious smile.
Despite the spirited exchange they had just had, Izuna was ultimately not the type of person addicted to combat; his ingrained habits drove him to choose the most advantageous situation for himself.
Shun, with the sword at his neck, felt like misfortune had struck him, and cold sweat began to run down his forehead.
His ninja hound, seeing its master taken hostage, immediately went into attack mode but dared not approach directly, instead growling softly and anxiously pawing at the ground.
The surrounding patrol members also assumed attack stances where they stood, hesitant to act rashly, their gazes occasionally turning to the two elite jounin present.
Might Guy was also restrained by Izuna’s actions, equally unable to make any further moves.
He wasn’t sure he could rescue his comrade before the enemy killed him, nor could he just watch his comrade die before his eyes.
"This is troublesome," Kakashi watched the scene unfolding and felt a headache coming on.
"Don’t worry, Izuna-senpai won’t kill that young man from the Inuzuka clan," Kaito reassured, "as long as you and your comrades don’t act rashly."
"There’s really no helping it."
Kakashi could only hope that reinforcements would arrive soon.
Just then, suddenly three different voices called out simultaneously, causing the Leaf ninjas present to breathe a sigh of relief.
"Shadow Imitation Technique, successful."
"Mind Body Switch Technique."
"Partial Multi-Size Technique!"
A slender black shadow quietly connected to Izuna’s shadow on the ground, immobilizing his movements.
The kidnapped Shun almost simultaneously pushed away the knife at his neck and quickly moved away from the spot.
Then, a gigantic hand emerged from the nearby forest, reaching out for Izuna.
"Ino-Shika-Cho’s trio, huh?" Izuna’s lips curled up slightly, "This level can’t hold me."
Purple patterns appeared on his face as a powerful burst of chakra suddenly freed him from the Shadow Imitation Technique. He easily dodged the incoming giant hand and, in a flash, returned to Chiri’s side.
"Who exactly are you?"
Tsunade emerged from the forest, accompanied by the leaders of the Ino-Shika-Cho clans and members of the Hokage guard team.
"Lady Hokage!"
"Lady Hokage has arrived!!"
Seeing the newcomers, the Leaf ninjas present couldn’t help but show relief on their faces.
"Finally, the Fifth Hokage of the Leaf," Kaito spoke, "I am Kaito Uchiha, and those are two of my clan’s elders."
"I’ve heard about you from Kakashi," Tsunade said, her gaze turning complex as she looked at the body of Danzo Shimura on the ground. "Did you kill Advisor Danzo?"
"Yes," Kaito admitted openly, "Who would have thought that Advisor Danzo could be too greedy."
"What do you mean?" Tsunade furrowed her brows.
"It’s said that the Fifth Hokage is the best medical ninja in the shinobi world," Kaito said with a meaningful smile. "You just need to examine his right hand to understand."
"This is an internal matter of the Leaf!"
Tsunade didn’t rush to inspect Danzo’s body. After all, he was an advisor of the Leaf, and whatever secrets he had on him should not be exposed publicly in front of everyone.
"So, what about the members of the Foundation under Danzo’s command?" Tsunade clenched her fists and stared at Kaito, "Did you kill them all?"
"How could we?" Kaito smiled.
"Don’t worry, while some casualties were inevitable, most of the members were merely knocked out." The same voice came from above.
Everyone quickly looked up, only to see another Kaito standing on the back of a giant owl.
"Well, I knew it wouldn’t be that easy," Kakashi casually thrust his kunai into the neck of the Kaito in front of him.
No blood spurted out; the "Kaito" whose neck was pierced quickly deflated, turning from a living person into a flat shape.
"You turn against me so quickly, Kakashi, even though we were just having a pleasant chat."
The paper figure "Kaito" spoke these words before beginning to shrink, eventually turning into a tattered little paper figure that drifted away with the wind.
"While it was nice chatting, we are enemies after all," Kakashi pulled up his forehead protector, revealing his Sharingan.
"I didn’t intend to be your enemy," the Kaito in the air formed hand seals, causing the Leaf ninjas on the ground to brace themselves defensively.
However, he didn’t launch an attack; instead, he summoned Izuna and Chiri, who were still on the ground, to his side.
"What?" The Leaf ninjas were clearly not expecting the enemy to so easily break out of the encirclement.
"Lady Hokage," Kaito looked down from his elevated position at the Leaf ninjas below, loudly declaring, "I just want to state that from today onwards, the Uchiha clan formally withdraws from the Hidden Leaf Village."
