I Am Your Natural Enemy Chapter 101

Trapped in a desperate situation, he instead became even calmer, his potential being squeezed out.

After closing his eyes, his senses kept amplifying; as Yang energy circulated, his perception of sinister power was also pushed to the limit.

He kept his eyes closed, arms sweeping, feet moving in rapid alternation, his figure swimming through the water like a fish, racing ahead at top speed.

He was searching for the path those two White-haired Zombies had used to get here—if he followed the route those White-haired Zombies came in by, then he’d definitely be able to get out.

In the chemical plant above, the moment the cables snapped, someone used various specially-enabled instruments to send signals to Qin Kun.

Yet the interference underwater was just too strong, and there’d been no response at all.

The signaling device Qin Kun carried could still send back the odd blip, but the only thing confirmed was that Qin Kun wasn’t turning back, but getting farther and farther away.

"Release the ray fish," Cai Qidong decided on the spot.

"Minister, the interference down there’s too intense. Once we send them in, we’ll lose contact real soon."

"Give them a couple of oxygen tanks, head for Qin Kun’s signal, and deliver them to him. If we lose a ray fish, then so be it."

"How many ray fish do we have?"

"Send them all down."

Over here, someone brought out three bionic robots shaped like rays, attached oxygen tanks to them, put them in the pool, set their target—and let the rays chase after Qin Kun on their own.

In the dark water, Wang Xueqi glided along; she saw Qin Kun’s oxygen tank at his waist had burst open, but the Yang energy flowing from him was simply overwhelming.

Totally different from the Yang energy Wen Yan possessed, Qin Kun’s power was utterly tyrannical, the kind that could annihilate any evil—she couldn’t even get close.

She wanted to guide Qin Kun, but she simply couldn’t get near enough for him to sense her position.

She kept on chasing, watching from afar as Qin Kun hurtled forward at incredible speed, as if he’d found an exit and burst out—she finally managed to breathe a little easier.

But immediately afterwards, new worry crept up: that exit looked a bit dangerous...

Ever since she’d regained consciousness, with nothing else to do, she’d been exploring in the water.

Because she wanted to avoid making another mistake—the last time she’d sent Wen Yan to the wrong location at the surface, it had worried her for ages.

The surface where Qin Kun exited, she’d never left from there herself, but she’d seen it many times; White-haired Zombies often appeared there—not just one or two, either.

Overflowing with worry, she spotted a Ray Fish Bionic Robot wobbling in the water and went to grab one, guiding it over to the surface where Qin Kun had just gotten out.

Then she waited for quite a while, but Qin Kun never appeared; she couldn’t wait any longer, so she turned and left—instead, she’d go back to the Water Ghost Domain to wait for Wen Yan, and tell him what happened here.

On the other side, Qin Kun burst through the surface of the water.

What he saw was a wasteland of blood and fire, corpses everywhere.

It looked like a brutal battlefield from ancient times. Many Walking Dead swung all sorts of weapons, massing together as if locked in an endless standoff.

Qin Kun climbed out of a small lake, its water already stained black and red.

Soon after, he saw the black and red water’s darkness gradually fading, leaving behind only a faint blood-red tint—the flowing blood had poured into the lake, tainting its waters.

Stepping out, Qin Kun felt the blood and fire here, absorbed the overwhelming atmosphere of chaos and violence, and watched the Walking Dead, Hopping Corpses, and a White-haired Zombie wearing a hard hat and dragging a cart of bodies, all closing in on him, having sensed a living human.

He broke into a grin, peeled off his protective suit, casually smashed a few of the Walking Dead to loosen up his limbs.

"Looks like I’ve found another Domain linked by Black Water. Fine, I’ll fight my way through this—good thing I’m not much for any other business anyway."

The Scorching Sun Department was still preparing to send more people into the water, though this time, their combat strength would be nowhere near Qin Kun’s.

As soon as they went down, Wang Xueqi glided over, lingering in the depths and watching as the team from Scorching Sun Department made for the water surface of the chemical plant’s Domain.

She hesitated for a moment, then said from afar,

"That person ahead, he’s already gone to another surface. The water surfaces here appear according to a pattern and will close soon."

Said her piece, then hurried away.

She didn’t want to hurt anyone, but as a Water Ghost, the fundamental rule was: to free yourself, you have to drag someone else in to replace you.

In the Water Ghost Domain, there were no living people, but ever since the mutation, the water had linked up to other places. So long as you were in those dark waters, you might just count as being inside the Water Ghost Domain.

If she wanted to be free, now was the perfect chance.

Afraid she’d lose control, she kept her distance, returning to the Water Ghost Domain.

The Scorching Sun Department’s assault was still ongoing, and Wen Yan had finished his martial practice.

He checked the time—his mind was still racing; there was no way he could sleep.

After considering for a bit, he remembered Lady Lie had said, next time she’d bring him something as a token of goodwill.

Why not wander in the Water Ghost Domain for a while?

And maybe check on Wang Xueqi, too, see how the Scorching Sun Blessing’s effect had faded, what kind of decay it had had on her.

"Out for a walk?" Wen Yan looked at the Little Zombie and Sparrow Cat.

The Little Zombie immediately flashed him a smile. Sparrow Cat hesitated but said nothing.

"Alright then, let’s go take a spin. Grab a free gift—why not?"

He carried the Little Zombie, brought Sparrow Cat along, went down to the basement, opened his short video app, and after scrolling through a few, soon landed on Wang Xueqi energetically promoting a Water Ghost Burial Ground in her stream.
