The reason why Lis and Ivor were talking was because he was preparing to make Ivor a permanent presence in Danerluo Port, controlling the Space Transmission Array while overseeing everything that happened in the port.
As for Grace, being a warrior, he was more useful leading the Guard Team to clean up the Magic Beasts and rebel forces that emerged in the territory of Luou Peninsula.
"Lord Lis, what do you mean?" Rolando, having heard what Lis had just said—after all, he hadn't lowered his voice, and everyone in the room could hear clearly—suddenly felt like he was being made a fool of, and could barely contain his anger.

Rolando gritted his teeth as he looked at Lis. His head was so clouded with anger that he hadn't noticed the self-reference Lis made before, and all he could think about was how Lis was toying with him like a child.
"Why?" Rolando pressed down the anger in his chest, failing to understand why Lis would do this.
"You could have earned much more. Are you deluded enough to think that this will impress your king further?"
In response to Rolando's sarcasm, Lis shook his head, his right hand caressing the polished tabletop:
"If you can't even understand this, it only shows that your former Duke title was purely a matter of good fortune, no wonder you're now so helplessly furious," Lis said.
"Damn it!" Rolando exclaimed.
"Do you really think Danerluo Port is yours to command alone?"
Rolando could no longer bear it, suddenly standing up so fast that his chair toppled to the floor with a loud noise.
The loss of his Duke title had always been a sore point for him, and that was why even normally, he still tried to maintain the demeanor of the Duke he once was.
The rage from having his wounds exposed made him forget everything else.
"Just wait, you'll regret this!"
Bernal, who had been silent the whole time, became anxious. He had been wanting to stall for time to find an opportunity to privately make amends with Lis, but he hadn't expected Rolando to turn hostile so quickly.

Cries of shock filled the air as the Old Nobles couldn't believe what they were seeing. They stood up and retreated.
They weren't as arrogant as Rolando. After hearing what Lis had said, they had guessed Lis's identity.
But they hadn't expected Lis to act so boldly, to strike down Rolando, a warrior of Silver Level strength, right in front of them.
Lis waved the index finger he had just extended, smiling warmly:
"I don't think I'll regret it."
"But it seems you, unfortunately, no longer have the opportunity to regret," he said to Rolando.
