274 Tender and Sweet
Lian Jing did not care who this thing belonged to. Now that he had seen it, he would not let Shen Yin off. At most, he would buy a few more tomorrow to compensate Li Zi.
Shen Yin looked at his hungry wolf-like eyes, and her heart started beating like a drum. She suddenly hugged the bag and tried to run out of the room.
Unfortunately, Lian Jing was standing outside, blocking her only exit. With a smile on his face, he pulled her into his arms and slowly took the bag from her hand. He took out the bra that had been peeking out and stuffed it into her hand. His voice was a little seductive. “Be good. Put it on. I’ll give you whatever you want.”
“You’ll give me whatever I want? Why are you so obedient?” Shen Yin raised her eyebrows and looked at him distrustfully.
Lian Jing nodded with a faint smile. “Yes, I will keep my word.”
Shen Yin gave him a fake smile and jumped out of his arms as if she had gotten her way. “Then listen to me. Don’t make me wear it.”
Lian Jing continued to stare at her with a smile. He reached out and pulled her onto the bed. His tone was firm. “Put it on first, then I’ll listen to you.”
After fooling around for the entire night, when Shen Yin woke up the next morning, she felt that her arms and legs were weak. However, after looking at the time on the bedside clock, she had no choice but to get up to go to work.
The bathroom door suddenly opened. Lian Jing put on his suit and tie and walked out looking refreshed. Seeing her lazy look, he could not help but laugh dotingly. He took the initiative to bring her clothes and helped her put them on one by one.
Shen Yin raised her eyes and glared at him. “It’s all your fault. I didn’t sleep much last night, so I don’t even have the energy to work now.”
Lian Jing pursed his lips and smiled, his eyes sparkling. “Okay, okay, okay. It’s all my fault. But you also slept for a long time last night. You slept much longer than me. I was still working hard when you fell asleep first.”
Shen Yin’s face turned red at his words. She hurriedly covered his mouth and rolled her eyes at him. “You still have the cheek to say that? Don’t do that next time. It’ll affect my state at work.”
Lian Jing knelt down on one knee and helped her put on her socks. He looked up at her. “Why don’t you rest at home today and not go to work?”
“That won’t do!” Shen Yin immediately refused without thinking. How could she delay her work because of such a thing? Her position was still very important. She must not neglect her duty!
Lian Jing knew that she would respond like that. He had only said it to tease her. He did not really want her to take leave.
Seeing that he had already helped her put on her clothes, he bent down to carry her to the bathroom to wash up.
Shen Yin punched his shoulder with a red face. “Put me down. I can walk on my own.”
Lian Jing carried her to the sink nonchalantly before gently placing her on the ground. He took the opportunity to pinch her chin and kiss her. “What are you afraid of? No one will see you in our room.”
Shen Yin could not win an argument against him and was helpless in the face of his shamelessness. She pushed him out. “Go down and eat first. I’ll come down after I’m done packing.”
“Alright, I’ll wait for you downstairs.” Lian Jing left the room obediently this time.
Shen Yin secretly heaved a sigh of relief. Looking at her rosy face and swollen lips in the mirror, she helplessly put on a layer of light makeup to cover the signs of affection on her face.
In the dining room, Lian Jing was reading the letter the butler had brought in today.
Although smartphones had become popular now, the Lian Family was so powerful that many people still tried their best to contact Lian Jing. Their letters arrived in a continual stream.
When Shen Yin came downstairs, she saw that he was reading it seriously and walked over curiously, wanting to read it with him.
Lian Jing glanced at her indifferently and expressionlessly handed the stack of envelopes to the butler for him to destroy.
Shen Yin had not even see a word before he put it away. She immediately stared at him suspiciously, as if he had secretly done something terrible behind her back.
Lian Jing could not help but laugh as he looked at her. He teased, “Why? Are you suspecting me?”
“Of course not.” Shen Yin snorted and chewed on the porridge in her mouth.
Lian Jing looked at her bulging cheeks and pinched them in amusement. It felt so good that his heart skipped a beat. “Why are you becoming more and more coquettish?”
Seeing that Shen Yin did not say anything and only stared at him, he let go of her hand in surrender and brought her a tissue to wipe the corners of his mouth. “It was a threatening letter. You don’t have to read it.”
“Threatening?” Shen Yin frowned slightly and immediately took it seriously. She put down the spoon and asked, “Who dares to threaten you? This is intimidation. Hand it to me and I’ll get my colleagues at the bureau to help deal with them.”
“There’s no need. It’s just an unimportant person. I’ve been getting such letters ever since I took on this position.” When Lian Jing said this, his tone was casual, as if he was talking about everyday affairs.
However, Shen Yin could not help but worry for him. It was lonely at the top. Lian Jing’s position was so lofty, he was hated for no reason.
