I Became The Chief of A Primitive Village Chapter 512

Su Bai’s expression was very serious as he asked, "Do you have any subordinate Tribes near our Tribe?"

He wanted to clarify whether there were any of their spies near the Flame Dragon Tribe, and if so, they would need to be eliminated quickly.

"No, that’s precisely why we were eager to enter your Tribe. We wanted to investigate the matter thoroughly before the snow season arrives, so we could quickly return." Feng shook his head and said.

"The Black Snake Tribe was formed by you, right?" Su Bai asked.

"Yes, after our Shaman occupied several Tribes, those scattered people would be organised. Then, some capable individuals were selected from the Tribe to manage them." Feng continued.

Su Bai’s brow furrowed increasingly tighter. He had not expected the situation to be so complex, and continued asking. "How many Tribes are under you right now?"

He had already decided to deal with this Large Tribe, though not immediately. Still, he needed to gather intelligence about them first.

"That I do not know. Only the higher-ups in the Tribe would know that kind of information. We only know some of the details." Feng shook his head.

"Then what do you know?" Su Bai asked.

"So many?" Su Bai’s black pupils widened slightly as he asked, "How do you manage all these Tribes? And how do you gather information from them?"

A Large Tribe managing so many individual Tribes must have a comprehensive operational system. Transmitting messages certainly would not be an easy task, and it would be ideal if he could learn some of their methods.

"We have intelligence gatherers in each location who pass information up one by one, with each location transmitting to another until it finally reaches our Tribe," Feng said.

Su Bai breathed a sigh of relief. He had thought they might have some sophisticated method, but it turned out to be quite simple.

This method of transmission had one drawback—it took a considerable amount of time. Each person’s account would vary slightly, and by the time the message reached its destination, the intended information would be somewhat distorted.

"What will you do after investigating our Tribe?" Su Bai asked sternly.

"We need to understand why the Black Snake Tribe collapsed so quickly and exactly how your Tribe managed to do it. If the opportunity arises, we would kill your people," Feng said.

"Just the two of you? How would you accomplish that?" Su Bai continued.

"No, we would first investigate the cause, and once we understood it, we would seek assistance from the nearby Tribes." Feng said.

Su Bai nodded thoughtfully and asked, "How many people are in your Dark Scorpion Tribe? What weapons do you typically use? Where is it located?"

He wanted to understand everything clearly. Since matters had already progressed to this point, he would not back down now.

He had always lived by the principle of not harming those who did not harm him, but if the other side intended to cause trouble, he would absolutely not show mercy.

"There are over thirty thousand people in total. We use normal weapons. Our location is very far from here. It would take seven days of walking to get there." Feng said.

He could still feel the pain in his leg. If he were not afraid the other party would place more stones on him, he would not be revealing this information.

Su Bai nodded thoughtfully and continued, "How many Totem Warriors and Warrior Trainees do you have in your Tribe?"

"The number of Totem Warriors is over two thousand, and the Warrior Trainees number around four thousand, not including those from other Tribes." Feng said.

Su Bai frowned; this was indeed a significant number, truly befitting a Large Tribe.

He looked up and continued. "How do you control the other Tribes? Aren’t you concerned about rebellion?"

"They won’t rebel," Feng said with absolute certainty, his expression showing a hint of pride.

"Why? You seem quite confident." Su Bai was puzzled by the man’s inexplicable self-assurance.

"Because our Shaman has a remarkable method that makes them very obedient." Feng quickly replied.

He now spoke without hesitation, fearing that any pause might result in more stones being added to his torture.

"What method is that?" Su Bai asked.

"That I do not know. Only the higher-ups have such knowledge. We only know that those people are very obedient and never dare to act out." Feng shook his head.

Su Bai blinked his black eyes and asked seriously, "Do you know the locations of the other Tribes?"

He wanted to determine how many Tribes were under their control, where they were located, and what they were called.

Once he had clarified all this, he could then gradually deal with these Tribes, as their existence posed a potential threat.

After all, he had just heard that these people were said to be ‘obedient’, and if that were the case, then there was no need to keep them alive.

Moreover, with Feng detained here and Zhu having been dealt with, no information would return to the Dark Scorpion Tribe, which would arouse suspicion. They would then continuously send more people.

They might even unite with various Large Tribes to begin exterminating his Tribe.

He had yet to develop enough strength to confront so many Tribes; he might be able to handle them one-on-one. Therefore, he now needed to gather this information and consider what methods to use against them.

"I know of some, but not all." Feng endured the pain as he spoke.

"Then tell me everything you know, and I might spare your life." Su Bai said.

"Yes, yes, yes," Feng replied without hesitation, his current demeanour forming a stark contrast with his appearance.
