Bai Zhi dashed over without hesitation, grabbed the bracelet, and fiercely hurled it to the ground.
In an instant, the bracelet shattered.
That so-called green hue, like some sort of liquid, suddenly leaked out.
Instantly, a fragrance filled the air.

Bai Zhi didn’t hesitate and pulled Bai Xin as they ran outside.
Bai Xin had yet to react when Bai Zhi dragged her out of the room.
Meanwhile, Bai Da, heartbroken, watched the two bracelets whilst mumbling incessantly.
Madness flashed in his eyes as he looked painfully at the bracelet, as if he had lost something vitally important.
Then, he looked up and towards the door outside. Bai Zhi and Bai Xin were standing there.
"Bai Zhi, you keep ruining my plans, you little bastard, why don’t you just die, I’ll kill you today!"
Bai Da’s face showed madness; he seemed completely maniacal, devoid of any emotion, driven by one thought alone—he wanted to kill Bai Zhi.
To kill this little bastard who kept spoiling his plans.
"I’m going to kill you!"
Without any hesitation, Bai Xin stepped in front of Bai Zhi, knowing full well that Xingxing couldn’t afford to be hurt.
Yet, Bai Zhi simply smiled coldly, pulled Bai Xin away, and kicked fiercely.
Bai Da fell flat on the ground, perfectly scraping his back against the floor.
Bai Zhi’s foot remained mid-air, unmoved; the kick felt satisfying indeed, but there was one problem—her foot now hurt.
It felt like a stinging needle, indeed it was like a needle inside her knee.
So, did the needle go in deeper just now?
Bai Zhi slowly lowered her foot, not wanting Ye Xiu and Bai Xin to notice.
She even waved her hand toward Ye Xiu on the other side, suggesting that as long as Ye Xiu stayed back, they would definitely force Bai Da to confess the truth.
"You little bastard!"
Bai Da lay on the floor, unable to get up.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about—that was a gift I carefully prepared for your aunt and mother, and now look what you’ve done. You’ve shattered it. Xiuxiu, did you see? She never thought about your well-being, yet you treated her so well. What exactly is there about her worth your kindness?"
Seeing the shattered bracelets nearby, Bai Da felt a pang of pain; the price he paid for those bracelets was not small at all.
But now, they were destroyed, what should he do now?
Xiuxiu’s attitude towards him was so negative; if he didn’t resolve this, perhaps Xiuxiu would leave him—how could he allow that!
Xiuxiu was everything to him, absolutely not an option to lose.

Bai Xin was still in shock from earlier when she’d had an inexplicable urge to grab that bracelet. A voice inside told her it was hers, that she had to have it. It was terrifying.
