According to the information they had just obtained, an Elemental Child is a title or name one obtains after one’s Elemental Affinity reaches an extremely high level. After getting the title, they receive many perks like reduced energy consumption when casting spells, increased affinity with Elemental Spirits of the same Element, quicker comprehension of Spells, etc.
In some rare cases, Spells of the same Element do less harm to the Elemental Child and could even cause a backlash or worse, being controlled by the Elemental Child but such cases are extremely rare.
And the reason why the dark barrier was being attacked was because the Dark Creatures had actually captured and caged the Elemental Child which the Elements didn’t take kindly to. And as Evan increased his Affinity, the stronger the attacks became.
Hours passed and night fell but it was as bright as day around the dark barrier and after hours of constant attacks, the barrier could no longer hold on and shattered, the Dark Creatures scattered in all directions and disappeared without a trace. Finally, the Url Kingdom was freed and everyone was happy.
Inside the Mana Cave, Evan had sacrificed all his Elements except for one which refused to be completely devoured by the Fire and Sand Elements and it was the Dark Element. This process should have ended a long time ago but because of the Dark Element, it was still ongoing.
Finally, after hours of non-stop pestering, the Dark Element finally conceded and allowed itself to be assimilated but it only sacrificed half of itself and no more than that and there was nothing Evan could do about it. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹·𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲·𝗻𝗲𝘁
After Evan assimilated half of the Dark Element, his affinity for the Sand and Fire Elements reached a completely new realm and something invisible and unknown happened not just to him but also the world. After the Affinity process was complete, Evan took out the Forge Flames and the Sand and Dust he bought, this was the most crucial part of the Glass Legacy.
The flesh around his chest was burnt to ashes, revealing the dual coloured Mana Heart. The Forge Flames then engulfed the Mana Heart, giving it a slow and excruciating burn. Evan was already prepared for the pain and endured it. The different Sand and Dust flew on their own towards the charred heart and fused with it. Slowly, glass shards appeared on the surface of the Mana Heart and the process was about to be completed when something unexpected happened.
Dust filled the cave and compressed itself into a palm sized cube that also fused with Evan’s heart and there was nothing Evan could do to stop the fusion. What’s worse was that this was just normal sand and it had the highest quantity and completely dominated and devoured the Mystic Sands and Dust. Evan didn’t know if this was good or bad but even if he knew, there was nothing he could do about it.
The Mana Heart completely changed into a Glass Mana Heart but things weren’t over yet, Evan’s Mana Veins also changed, now made up from blazing hot black sand. The black sand also reached his bone marrow and filled that hollow space, the two Gu Insects underwent the same transformation.
Just when everyone thought things were over, space trembled and two symbols appeared and entered Evan’s glabella, everything was now completely over but Evan continued to meditate, highly concentrated Mana being absorbed into his body like it was a sponge.
Except for those who lived in the Url Kingdom, everyone else left the place since the problem of the Dark Barrier was taken care of. As for the matters of the Elemental Child, it had nothing to do with them so they could only leave.
Ace returned to his palace and inquired about everything that had happened from his officials.
Isaac and his staff also returned to the Url Academy and inquired about the students and the trial. The Wizard who’d created the fissures wanted to close them up again but the students were still battling with the goblins so he refrained from doing so for now.
Back to Zixin, after providing Evan with everything he’d requested, an idea popped up in his head and took all his attention, momentarily halting even his meditation cycles.
The idea was to actually complete the 8th Volume of the Primordial Sealed Horned Giant Dung Beetle Technique. Since the Adventurers Guild sold everything, he wondered if he could buy the Void Spider’s Silk or the Weaver Sparrow’s nest and Realm Heart. But before that, he decided to do a little test to see if it could work.
Zixin transformed into his larvae state then inspected the same way he inspected other insects and to his surprise, the plan actually worked. Information appeared in his mind about which Evolution paths he could choose from and there were many of them which surprised him.
The Dragon Flamed Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Blood Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Disastrous Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Frenzied Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Metal Devourer Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Essence Devourer Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Totemic Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Sealed Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Demon Flamed Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Gravity Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Tribulation Lightning Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle and finally, the Divine Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Herculean Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Sealed Indestructible Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, etc.
There were so many paths to choose from that Zixin didn’t know which to even choose from and each path was powerful. Some paths even combined two paths into one like the Sealed Indestructible Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Metallic Blood Devourer Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, the Heavenly Totemic Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, The Gravity Disastrous Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle, etc.
They were all powerful in their own rights, capable of destroying realms, shattering the heavens and dominating an era. But these ones required more resources in order for Zixin to evolve into the described Dung Beetle, for example, the Metallic Blood Devourer Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle Evolution Path required Zixin to obtain the Blood Essence of an Origin Vampire, the Shapeless Creation Metal and a dual Blood and Metal Realm Heart.
