Dong Shilin in the sky descended from the sky and landed in front of Aquarius whose body had turned into ashes. Two pairs of arms and two faces grew on his body, returning him to his original appearances. This was one of the benefits of being an Asura Demon, you could split yourself into three bodies and as long as one of your bodies survived, you wouldn’t die.
’Nether Flames are truly terrifying.’ thought Shilin and while in his thoughts, something rose from the ashes and entered his body. It was both fast and invisible that Shilin didn’t realise it until it was inside his body. Dark clouds condensed above Shilin and brewed dangerous lightning the moment that thing entered his body.
Shilin though didn’t realise this because a voice kept ringing in his head, talking about stuff he absolutely knew nothing about.

Dong Shilin was hit by powerful lightning that insisted on killing him. Dong Shilin didn’t know what was going on and before he could figure things out, his cultivation rose by two stages and he reached the peak of the Mortal Shedding Realm. His chances of surviving the Tribulation increased but this wasn’t the end. His body started to change, his crimson red skin now mixed with blue patterns similar to those of tiger sharks.
His skin became slick and smooth, his hands and feet became webbed and fins grew on his elbows and back, shark gills on his now thick neck, a pointed snout with razor sharp triangular teeth, his body grew larger and taller with a droplet mark on his three foreheads. Shilin’s physical features made him look like a cross breed between a demon, a shark and a human and his appearance was even scarier than before, especially his eyes that were pitch black, making him look like he didn’t have eyes.
An influx of information also poured into his mind and fortunately he had three faces so he didn’t collapse from the info dump.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Lightning bolts kept striking him down, determined to kill him but Shilin endured the lightning while also absorbing the information he just received and after a long time, the clouds dissipated and Shilin fell to his and vomited blood mixed with charred internal organs.
[Haa... haa... haa... I almost... died...] said Shilin as the rain water in his surroundings moved towards the huge crater he was in and was absorbed into his body, only then did Shilin feel better.
’Water Affinity is so terrifying! If I didn’t use the Nether Flames in that moment, that guy would have killed me and if I didn’t have the Nether Flames, he would have easily escaped if he wanted to. I was really lucky this time around. I can’t believe that such terrifying beings exist in this world.’ thought Shilin.
On the battlefield, less than a million demons were left while the ocean still had more than twenty million troops. All demons were exhausted but they still fought without fear against the oceanic army. Just then, the rain poured harder, giving the ocean army a terrain advantage and investing their speed but before the ocean army could celebrate, a figure appeared and killed tens of thousands of fishmen with just a single punch.
Two more figures appeared in different parts of the war zone and slashed at the ocean army. After killing thousands, these three figures disappeared and reappeared further into the army, killing more of the fishmen. Finally, the demons got the break they desperately needed and collapsed on the ground and enjoyed the heavy rain hitting their faces.
Dong Shilin was like a one man army who didn’t tire as he kept on killing fishmen after fishmen without stopping. The water around him didn’t just allow him to teleport without a cost or heal his wounds, the water also replenished his energy. Any place with an abundance of water was like Shilin’s domain where he was almost impossible to kill.
[Hahaha! MORE! MORE! MORE! MORE!!] Shilin shouted in excitement because ever since he was born, this was the first time he truly felt powerful.
Xong Zixin watched Shilin have fun on the battlefield and was interested in Shilin’s new appearance.
’Did he devour that guy with the System and obtain his Abilities? No! That guy’s Abilities definitely come from his System, so what happened to it, I would have received an alert if his System was with the Sect Leader. Maybe it returned to where it came from or dissipated! Damn it, I missed a System Upgrade!’ thought Zixin in annoyance and regret. Not just him, all demons woke up after resting for a few minutes. What woke them up was the trembling ground. Trembling not because of an earthquake but because of the large oceanic armies walking in unison towards them.
In the far distance, hundreds of millions of fishmen were approaching the Nether Tree from all directions and their number was in the billions.
