The author made a big mistake at the start of this book; you could say it was a crash and burn. The Fox Spirit lived too long. In fact, when I first wrote it, the first three Chapters already had the Fox Spirit blown up with explosives, but later, when readers saw the draft in the group, they led me astray, and the Fox Spirit lived till now.
Now everyone can see, the protagonist has already suppressed the Fox Spirit. Now, when it’s released, it will be killed immediately, definitely not letting the Fox Spirit live any longer. Killing the Fox Spirit roughly involves three steps. The first step is to blow up the Fox Spirit’s physical body, proving this world is not a mythical world, lacking the Divine Techniques from later works like Journey to the West. Secondly, the Fox Spirit’s soul needs to be suppressed inside the great tomb, using the Fox Spirit to open the tomb’s mechanisms (because the protagonist only knows the specific structure of the tomb, but for the intricate mechanisms, a Golden Finger is required). Finally, the protagonist gains the skill to refine the Fox Spirit, acquiring the Fox Spirit’s skills like Void Transformation and Transportation Technique. Actually, these skills are all prepared for the protagonist, but the author’s writing ability is limited, and he couldn’t bring them out.
