Xiao Zhuo’s face froze. Yet, Cheng Lang added, “I’m not interested.”
Xiao Zhuo took a deep breath and held back from swearing. He sat up straight and noticed that the seat behind him was already occupied. He reminded Xing Shu, “A few media will be invited to live-stream this auction later.” In other words, if she did not want others to discover her relationship with Cheng Lang, she had better keep a low profile.
Xing Shu noted his goodwill and said softly, “Thank you.”

But she stopped laughing in the next second because Nie Heng had counterbid with 20 million US dollars.
Xing Shu turned her head and saw that Nie Heng had a serious face, as if he was determined to get this wristwatch. Xing Shu’s chest tightened—not for herself—but for Nie Xi. Xiao Zhuo chuckled. “I hope you don’t. After all, Cheng Lang is famous for being difficult.” He leaned closer, finding it interesting to huddle in whispers with Xing Shu. “When Cheng Lang was still a student, a woman drugged him and herself…”
It was clearly a formal occasion and they should not be whispering to each other, but Xing Shu could not control her curiosity. “And then?”
