Two crisp sounds, and with a sword, two zombies were slain.
"Are you still going to run?" Lin Fan asked.
"No... no more running."
Lin Fan looked at their frightened expressions with a hint of satisfaction. He glanced at the so-called Brother Hao, who had been cursing so fiercely that even the air seemed unclean.
All he could do was take off the man’s socks and stuff them into his mouth, silencing him.
He didn’t like cursing or speaking ill of others.
Swearing tends to damage one’s fortune.
He picked up the trash can that had been knocked over and felt a pang of regret seeing that one of them was broken; after all, they had been bought with taxpayers’ money.
He rearranged the trash cans in order.
Knowing Brother Hao was fierce and overbearing, he figured the man definitely wouldn’t cooperate willingly. Any vicious criminal, before the judgment of the righteous light, would desperately resist by any means necessary, so he stuffed Brother Hao directly into a trash can.
The other two were calmer than Brother Hao. After being frightened and intimidated by the zombies, they didn’t wait for Lin Fan’s cue and obediently climbed into the dirty trash cans.
Pushing the trash cans along, he headed towards his destination: the police station.
Brother Hao, gagged with socks and hands bound, glared at Lin Fan with such ferocity he seemed to wish him dead.
"Big... Big brother, where are you taking us?" asked the sole female, Su Xiaoxiao, looking bewildered and pitiable. The awe of killing zombies was certainly strong, but nothing compared to the dominance of chopping a car with a sword. Looking at the sword on his back, if she wasn’t mistaken, it should be a sword from a game.
She didn’t play games, so why did she recognize this sword? It goes back a long way; she once had a boyfriend who was always playing World of Warcraft. She wasn’t happy about it and urged him to get a job and not be addicted to games, but her boyfriend wouldn’t listen.
She worked in a bar, and by chance, she met Brother Hao. That night, after being plied with drinks and taken to a hotel room, she woke up feeling like the sky had fallen. She felt sorry for her boyfriend, but when Brother Hao put a stack of money in front of her, she thought that things weren’t as bad as they seemed.
When she told her boyfriend about the money she made the previous night, who could expect that he would actually want her to spend it on him—to buy gold in the game.
She felt hopeless and helpless.
Later, after getting to know Brother Hao better, she became one of his followers. She usually freeloaded off Brother Hao’s meals and saw too much, which slowly changed her way of thinking.
Lin Fan said, "I’m taking you to the police station."
"Police... police station?" Su Xiaoxiao’s eyes widened as if she had misheard, wondering if he was insane to bring them to a police station during the apocalypse.
She couldn’t believe it. If not for her fear of his strength, she might have wanted to curse him out and insult his ancestors.
The other male survivor pleaded pitifully, "Big brother, please don’t mess with me, okay? I know I was wrong. I want to hang with you. I’m willing to be your loyal little brother. I can do a lot of things for you; whatever you ask I won’t refuse. I’m really useful and loyal."
"No need, thank you." Lin Fan politely declined, responding kindly even to someone who had done such things.
Su Xiaoxiao said, "Big brother, look at me, I am beautiful and cute. It’s hard to find a living woman nowadays, don’t you have any thoughts? My skills are great—I can use my hands and feet, and I am fine with triple play."
"No need, thank you."
Lin Fan smiled and declined.
The desolate streets presented an odd sight.
A row of trash cans, like a train, moved towards the distance. One person pushed the trash cans while three others stood inside them. This scene was incredibly strange, whether in normal times or during the apocalypse.

She saw that bizarre fellow again.
