Lin Fan propped his chin up, looking at the environment outside in the streets, indifferent to whether things were intentional or not, as they were all easy to handle.

Lin Fan escorted Granny Xu back home and put the medicine away.
"Now let’s go buy supplies. We’re purchasing quite a bit, so we’ll probably need a truck. This sedan definitely won’t do," Lin Fan said to Gu Hang.

A truck was parked at the entrance.

Gu Hang said, "Our Huang City has a large food storage depot. When times truly become desperate, that will be our first choice."
Lin Fan said, "I know. I’ve seen news about it before. But the grain there is unprocessed, still in its husks; processing it will be a bit of a hassle."
As they talked, they continued walking inside.
The uncleaned supermarket already had a strange smell, the stench of decay, the scent of food, and a sense of murky air.

The zombie turned its head, its face a blur of blood and flesh, its grey-white eyes moving. It roared and without saying a word, lunged at Lin Fan.
With a swing of his sword, Lin Fan decapitated the zombie and pushed its inert body aside with one hand.
"Hang, zombies are irritable and kind of stupid," Lin Fan remarked.
Gu Hang grunted in response.
Arriving at the rice section.
They filled their carts with bags of rice.
Ordinary rice packaging would last 6-12 months, while vacuum-packed rice could last 12-18 months.
In front of them were both regular and vacuum-packed bags, priced differently.
Remembering the quantity of rice they purchased, they filled up and transported it to the truck. Then they continued shopping. This kind of extravagant buying was truly shocking to Lin Fan; it was something he had never experienced in his own life.
They cleared out all the rice in the supermarket.
"Mr. Wang mentioned there are other supplies that have a longer shelf life. Let’s take a look," said Lin Fan.
Gu Hang replied, "I know. Honey, canned goods, milk powder, etc., let’s start looking."
For Gu Hang, having enough supplies was crucial for survival in the post-apocalyptic world. Without them, as the apocalypse progressed, one might not even know how they died.
They picked through the shelves.
Dried vegetable packs.
These were essentials.
Looking at the messy shelves, it was clear that other survivors had been there. But those survivors probably encountered zombie attacks, causing many items to be scattered everywhere.
Gu Hang wondered how many survivors were still alive.
It was truly an unknown number.
A sedan drove slowly, making as little noise as possible to avoid alerting the nearby zombies.
Ma Chang and Yan Hua were driving.
They observed the surrounding buildings, searching for one that might serve as a shelter.
"Man, life is truly terrifying now. No idea when it will end. I’m dying to run into a celebrity," Ma Chang said as he drove, voicing his thoughts.
Yan Hua asked, "How about Yang Li?"
Ma Chang replied, "Stop joking. She’s over fifty, and her figure’s gotten pretty hefty. I used to see her in videos, and it’s just hard to imagine she was so beautiful when she was younger."
They passed by the Sunshine District and then reversed back to it.
"Is this the place?" Ma Chang asked, puzzled.
Yan Hua observed, "Definitely. Look at the iron gate sealed with steel plates, leaving holes. They must be thinking if zombies come, they can use those holes to fight them off."
"There are no zombies around now. I’ll get out of the car and see if anyone notices me. If I can blend in, figure out their numbers, their layout, and find an opportunity to leave, I can let the boss know, and we could easily take over this place," Yan Hua mused, continuing to survey the surroundings.
"But aren’t you afraid of encountering that guy with the sword? He can stand up to zombies alone. If he senses something’s wrong with us, I’m afraid we wouldn’t even be able to run."
"What’s there to fear? There’s nothing to be afraid of. The car’s windows were tinted before; outsiders couldn’t see our faces. Besides, we’re driving another car now; they definitely won’t recognize us. Keep an eye out for me, and if there are any zombies, you must notify me immediately."
