The long-haired man seemed a bit stunned as he said to the woman, "Cao Yan, what’s going on with you? Do you really never learn? Have you forgotten what happened back then?"
As the long-haired man mentioned this incident, everyone understood.
When they first came here to hide, there were also three survivors who desperately begged to come in. They hesitated, but it was Cao Yan who said to let them in, arguing that they couldn’t just watch them die, and eventually, they let the people in.

"How can you insult me like that? I’ve been recognized by the Huangshi Animal Protection Association. I raise dogs because I don’t want them wandering everywhere. You are just heartless," Cao Yan said disdainfully to Miao Li.
Not wanting to continue this exasperating conversation, Miao Li listened to the silence outside. He asked others to keep an eye on this woman, then hurriedly ran to the rooftop and hid in a corner to peek.
He saw the two survivors hadn’t run back to their car but instead ran toward the river and jumped into the water with a splash, followed by the zombies that had caught up with them.
"Are they really just ordinary survivors?"
Miao Li observed, knowing that any sympathy in this apocalypse could potentially lead to destruction for their group. It wasn’t that he was heartless, but sometimes it was simply too hard to see through people.
He knew the two survivors would survive.
Zombies can’t swim and, without any reason, they would just keep jumping into the water and eventually sink to the bottom.

"My name is A-Hai and this is my girlfriend. We came from the shopping mall in Fuqian. It was very dangerous there, and my girlfriend and I had no choice but to escape in the car, but who could’ve expected that when we got here, the car broke down and we had to run for it. Seeing your place with the windows all secured, I thought there must be people here, so I came knocking," A-Hai explained.
Miao Li nodded, thinking about the situation just now. They hadn’t run towards the car, indicating it really had broken down, which wasn’t deliberate. This was a trustworthy story.
Miao Li asked, "So what were you planning to do next?"
Out of breath, A-Hai replied, "Find someone."
"Yes, find someone. We need to find that man with the sword. As long as we find him, we’ll be safe," A-Hai would never forget that day’s image.
To him, it was like a divine scene.
A man with a sword, fighting his way through a horde of zombies, looking godlike; no zombie could come close to him without being cut into two...
"The man with the sword?"

Suddenly, everyone looked at one another.
"That day we seemed to have seen him," they recalled.
A-Hai’s spirits lifted immediately, "You encountered him? Do you know where he is?"
Miao Li, looking at A-Hai asked, "Could you tell me what exactly is the deal with this man with the sword?"
A-Hai remembered, slowly saying, "In my eyes, he might just be a god. I can never forget everything that happened that day. My girlfriend and I were hiding on an upper floor of the shopping mall when suddenly, we heard the hoarse roars of a large group of zombies, numerous and uncountable. I saw him with a sword, charging into the zombie crowd, like a god, no zombie could come close to him; those that did were split into halves..."
