Standing high, the wind was fiercer.
Looking into the distance, where could one see such a scene before? Climbing casually to someone else’s rooftop could easily have been treated as a suicide attempt.
"The amount of clearing work is really massive. If I were a sanitation worker, I’d definitely ask for a raise."
He slowly drew Frostmourne.
The blade flashed with a silver-white brilliance, dazzling, resplendent.
He dived down, against the wind, and shouted at the zombies, who looked up with their heads raised, watching the figure descending from the sky. In a moment, the silver light appeared, becoming an invisible edge sweeping across. Zombie bodies split open, and viscous fluid splattered everywhere.
"What an unfriendly bunch."
Waving Frostmourne casually, swiftly, with force, unlike before when a single strike could only kill one, now his power was great, with a single swipe, his merciless blade could cut down countless zombies.
Everything around fell into silence.
Lin Fan held his sword, deftly cutting open the head of an Evolutionary Zombie, extracting its crystal, "White Crystal, its level is a bit low, but understandable. Not all zombies have the potential."
He knew that zombies had limited potential for evolution, just like people—some had high potential, others less. Once they became zombies with the ability to evolve, their potential would manifest.
The heavy footsteps echoed, with a huge shadow looming and the dull noise approaching.
If an ordinary survivor encountered such a terrifying sense of oppression, even without seeing what it was, their heart would surely beat violently, and sweat would stream down their faces.

A fierce face, chest split open to reveal white bone spikes, like a deep abyss of a mouth capable of gnawing prey clean.
"Hello, new breed of zombie. Did your sudden appearance come from anger seeing me killing ordinary zombies?" Lin Fan greeted it.
Alone in front of him, a strange breed, emitting an incredibly strong sense of oppression.
Looking closely, one could see viscous fluid oozing from the split chest, disgusting, truly revolting.
The unknown zombie roared, its voice deep, like a wild beast bellowing, conveying its distinction from other zombies through the sound alone.
Lin Fan blinked, watching it, unafraid of its roar.
The unknown zombie, with its thick legs, charged ferociously at Lin Fan, swinging its arms down fiercely. Its arms were not like those of an ordinary zombie but resembled the scythe of a Tyrant. As Lin Fan dodged, the flesh scythe slashed into the cement, cracking the ground open and leaving a deep pit.
The flesh scythe grazed his face as it fell, the wind blade swept by, the force bursting forth was undeniable. Indeed, it was strong; had it fallen on a vehicle, it would have cleaved it in two.
"Could humanity really stand a chance against such zombies?"
He thought of Dai Wenwen, who had awakened telekinesis but was still unable to control it. Aside from manifesting it once subconsciously, there had been no further signs.
With these thoughts, he swung Frostmourne, its silver light flickering, tearing straight through the unknown zombie’s waist, as flesh and blood sloshed to the ground.
[Killing Mutated Tyrant]
He extracted the crystal, observing it. Though the black crystal already had faint hints of gold emerging, this crystal was evolving towards gold.
Gazing at the fallen Mutated Tyrant at his feet, he fell into thought. Tyrants were evolving, and it was a horrifying matter, wondering into what kind of monster they would ultimately transform.
The apocalypse was truly terrifying, always breeding various chaotic monsters and zombies.
One street after another, he quickened his pace of clearing. Whether ordinary zombies or Evolutionary Zombies, they all met the same fate at his hands.
One swing was often all it took to clear them.
A sedan gradually made its way towards the Sunshine District.
Inside the car were four survivors.
They had emerged from Lucky Number, consisting of three men and one woman. Their faces showed no hint of hope for the future—gaunt as though they hadn’t eaten for some time.
"I really want to floor the accelerator and crash into the gas station; better dead than this."
The survivor who spoke was the driver, with a long face that was now even more skeletal and pitiful to see.
"Don’t. Better to hang on to life than to die well. We’re out searching for supplies now, we should be able to find something," the other survivors quickly consoled.
Big brother, don’t do anything rash.
While alive, there’s at least some hope. If you die, there’s nothing left.
They feared the zombies outside, only daring to hide inside Lucky Number, but life aboard was hard—those who were timid and useless lived worse than dogs. Yes, that’s right.
They’d seen a group of survivors with a dog that even got to enjoy delicious dog food, leaving them enviously drooling.
