Along the harbor road, outside the shelter.
A truck carrying survivors was parked.
"I hope everything will be okay."
Tang Pengfei and the others hurried out of the vehicle. A tightly closed iron gate blocked their path, and the high surrounding walls, covered with barbed wire, made entry a bit troublesome.
"What should we do?" Liu Mingzhu was a bit anxious. "Should we ram the gate with the truck?"
This was the only method. Along the way, they had observed their surroundings and hadn’t seen any zombies, but making noise could easily attract them, and then they would have to face both the zombies and hostile survivors.
"It’s okay, I’ll handle it."
Lin Fan had never been one to willingly damage others’ property, and the iron gate in front of him belonged to someone else. Having said this, he hurriedly ran downstairs.

Ma Yilong approached the floor-to-ceiling window, looking down at the group of survivors below, a cold smirk appearing at the corner of his mouth. Just this riffraff, his boys could handle them easily.
He didn’t pick his subordinates based on who could flatter him the most but on who had a ruthless streak; without it, he didn’t want them.
Seeing no one around, Expert Xu, while Ma Yilong was engrossed in watching the scene below, quietly picked up a metal pipe and slowly approached, swinging it towards Ma Yilong’s head.
"Old expert, living in these apocalyptic times is a luxury, you should cherish it," said Ma Yilong, whose nape seemed to have eyes, for he caught the metal pipe swung by Xu as it came down.
Expert Xu, being much older, couldn’t match Ma Yilong’s strength. With just a little push, he was knocked to the ground.
Ma Yilong grabbed the metal pipe, and in their shocked gazes, he twisted it into a pretzel. Such strength was terrifying, making them wonder if this was even humanly possible.
A group of fierce, brawny men blocked Lin Fan, holding machetes, metal pipes, and various weapons capable of inflicting fatal injuries.
Just by looking at these weapons, one could tell that they were deadly, very dangerous, and very scary. Under normal circumstances, if they appeared on the street, they would definitely be subdued by a group of police with riot shields and severely dealt with.
"Release our people," Tang Pengfei said, staring them down and clutching his pipe tightly. These men had a menacing look, clearly not to be trifled with, but since their companions had been captured by them, they had to come despite the danger.

This group of scoundrels laughed unrestrainedly, uttering various disrespectful remarks, as if the people before them were already lambs to the slaughter.

Looking at the group, he quietly said, "Your actions are not good. In these apocalyptic times, everyone should unite. What you are doing is no different from the zombies wandering outside, and may even be more harmful. Put down your weapons and bring out the people. I intend to take you to Officer Huang, and you might get a mitigation."
