Zhu Zhen snatched the submachine gun in one swift move.
Li Ke, who had just become the first-floor deck supervisor, hadn’t enjoyed the role for long; before even a scream could escape him, his back was riddled like a hornet’s nest. He fell to the ground, unable to move, as blood dyed the floor red.
"Hahaha... It’s freaking exhilarating," Zhu Zhen exclaimed, thrilled. He reveled in the act of killing; it was truly thrilling, making him feel refreshingly unobstructed, a sensation of comfort indescribable.
Watching their boss unleash havoc, the minions following him roared like wild beasts, venting their ferocious nature. Soon, they noticed many women among the survivors on the deck, which excited them even further, making them want to execute them right there and then.
"Brothers, don’t be hasty, let’s take down He Qing first," Zhu Zhen shouted, waving his arm.
Zhu Zhen lifted the gun’s muzzle, firing randomly upwards; not seeing anyone, he just wanted to spray bullets, to let the adversary know just how fierce they were.
The ruckus below naturally reached those above.
Bodyguard Xu Yong stated gravely, "Boss He, these guys are too heavily armed, what should we do?"
Indeed, they had firearms, but compared to what their adversaries wielded, theirs was practically toy-like, with no deterrence whatsoever.
Normally always calm and composed, He Qing couldn’t help feeling panicked now. The group below was large, each armed with formidable weaponry, clearly of military origin.
Their purpose was clear.
It was to seize the Lucky Express.
He Qing racked his brain and thought of Lin Fan from Sunshine District, saying, "Xu Yong, I need you to do something; go to Sunshine District and ask him to help me."
Xu Yong understood what Boss He meant. The only person who could resolve the current crisis was him. But now the lift was blocked by the adversaries, making it impossible to leave the Lucky Express that way.

Xu Yong instructed the other bodyguards to protect Boss He at all costs. He then hurried downstairs, avoiding detection until he reached the storage for the speedboats. He opened the ships’ side door, lowered the speedboat into the water without a second thought, and sped away.
"Boss, someone’s getting away," one of the underlings pointed out.
Zhu Zhen watched the escaping speedboat, eyeing the figure, "No worries, that’s not He Qing. It must be someone we’ve scared into fleeing; don’t worry about it."
"Come, let’s go catch He Qing," he said.
Just as Zhu Zhen was preparing to storm the rooftop.
A voice came through.
"No need, I’ve come down myself. I wonder where I, He Qing, have offended you to necessitate such a grand affair. If there’s anything, why don’t we sit down and talk it out calmly? Whatever you need, just ask. I am not a petty man," He Qing said, walking forward with his bodyguards.
By Zhu Zhen’s side, the henchmen aimed their guns while He Qing spread his hands, showing they were unarmed, even his bodyguards didn’t have any weapons—he reassured them of this.
For He Qing, resisting was the wrong choice, primarily because they couldn’t match the adversaries in terms of weapons. Moreover, his bodyguards had been personally trained by him and had been loyally with him for many years.
Finding such bodyguards in this post-apocalyptic world was extremely hard.
"Awesome, others see us and kneel begging for mercy. I didn’t expect you to dare show up . That’s some bold courage," Zhu Zhen inflated with pride. Then, he tilted his head as he approached He Qing, sizing him up with a playful look.
"I see you, once a wealthy tycoon of Huang City, got nothing special. Now, I really do believe fortunes make heroes. You might have risen in the past, but now it’s my time, Zhu Zhen, to rise," Zhu Zhen laughed.
Following closely, He Qing’s bodyguards clenched their fists, their eyes sharply fixed on Zhu Zhen; he was incredibly arrogant, completely ignoring everyone around, not putting anyone in sight.
He Qing said, "Nothing special, indeed fortunes make the heroes, just being at the right era has its benefits. But back then, you were just a kid. If you were my age, with your daring and fighting spirit, you’d have a place among Huang City’s entrepreneurs."
"Heh, I like that," Zhu Zhen was quite pleased, his smile even more arrogant. Then, looking askance at He Qing, he said, "Come on, kneel down first, let me think about how to deal with you after a while."
Just then, a bodyguard beside yelled angrily, "Don’t go too far."
He Qing’s pupils shrunk sharply, he stared blankly at the bodyguard who had just spoken up for him; he didn’t expect the other party to fire without any prelude, just outright shooting.

He now understood, the man before him couldn’t be reasoned with in ordinary terms.
Zhou Yang was lying on the rooftop, looking through binoculars, "Damn, that’s ruthless."
