Coming to a street they had never cleared before,

The air in the street was filled with a green fog that looked like miasma, not dissipating with the wind but rather staying confined within the area.
"Strange, how could this happen?"
During his time in the city, he hadn’t encountered this situation before.
"Could it be some special kind of zombie?"
Not long after that thunderstorm,
he and Gu Hang had encountered several special Evolutionary Zombies. They had discussed that zombies were evolving fast, and humans were already struggling to compete. As time passed, zombies continued to evolve, which was a dire situation.
Lin Fan walked towards the street shrouded in green fog, inhaling once, noticing a sour, rotten smell.
And yet, his body showed no effects.
"I’m fine, maybe because I’m physically stronger. I wonder what would happen to ordinary people if they inhaled this fog."
he stopped; at the front of a shop, there appeared a strange thing, like spore plants, or maybe not. It looked like layers of green flesh overlapping, seeming to breathe, emitting green fog.
"Is this fog being sprayed out by this thing?"
He approached, looked down, and saw spore-flesh covered in thick fluid, dense and disgusting. He drew his sword and slashed the spore-flesh.
Unknown green fluid flowed, and simultaneously, a burst of fog seemed propelled by some force, rushing towards him and instantly enveloping Lin Fan’s face.
"What the hell, this smells awful."
Lin Fan waved his hand, spat a few times, and checked himself, finding no changes.
"How were these things formed? How could this city let itself be overtaken by them?"
He expressed his dissatisfaction.
There were low growls of zombies from ahead.
Continuing forward, within the fog, Lin Fan saw a zombie. Just as he thought to draw his sword and kill it, he was shocked by the condition of the zombie before him.
This was just an ordinary zombie, the spore-flesh that he had just seen at the shop front growing on its vicious half-face, with thick fluid flowing down and even occasionally emitting fog.
