They were communicating.
Xu Ying carefully pored over the "Zombie Album", paying special attention to the contents. The name that appeared most frequently was ’Lin Fan’, and she already knew what that name represented.
It was the existence of a formidable being capable of hunting various zombies in the post-apocalyptic world.

The conclusion was already foregone.
Apart from biological parents willing to give their lives to protect their children, who else among strangers would do the same?

Xu Ying thought about the route while driving. It was certain that passing through the bustling streets wouldn’t work, as those places had the highest number of zombies. When there were too many zombies, bursting through was impossible.

Once the route was set, she pressed the accelerator to speed up, chasing after the slow-moving zombies that, hearing the engine’s noise, snarled and roared, trying to chase the car.
If this were the early days of the apocalypse, a driver encountering a horde of chasing zombies might panic and make fatal mistakes.
But Xu Ying was steady as a rock.
All of this was what she had honed. She was afraid too, but she had a reason not to be: her Rourou.
Xu Ying glanced in the rearview mirror.
A fast-moving zombie was chasing after the car. It was fast, but to Xu Ying, even if that zombie could fly, it didn’t matter; her destination was the Sunshine Shelter.
With the detour, what seemed like an hour’s journey, Xu Ying thought, might take several hours if all went well.
The dim environment made it hard for Xu Ying to see what was ahead. The moment she turned on the car lights, she was completely stunned; the entire tunnel was crammed with zombies.
The staggering zombies in the dark environment sensed the disturbance, turned their heads, saw the vehicle, and uttered ’hehe’ roaring sounds. Soon they were like mad dogs, frantically charging toward the sedan.
Xu Ying gritted her teeth and quickly began to reverse.
She hadn’t expected this place to be crammed with a horde of zombies; this road was completely impassable. She had to find another route.
The car continuously collided with the zombies that followed.
These zombies had no sense of pain. Unless they were truly dead, they would tear apart any prey in front of them.
