I Have 10 Trillion Dollars only Usable For Simping Chapter 679

"You need to understand, I was the victim. In that situation, all I could think about was self-protection."

Jiang Chen had never expected that he would be brought into the police station twice within two days.

It was one thing to be treated as a murder suspect the day before; he could understand the attitude of the police then, but now the circumstances were entirely different.

"My friend is still in the hospital, and I need to go there now. If you have any questions, you can ask those thugs."

The repeated questioning by the police had already made Jiang Chen impatient.

"We will certainly interrogate those people, but you also need to cooperate with us. Do you realize the severity of fighting in public like that?"

He sat up straight and leaned forward, "Officer, if you were in that situation, facing six people, or to be precise, six assassins coming to kill you, what would you do? Submit without a fight? Just sit there and wait for death?"

Despite being only a young man in his twenties, why were his eyes so sharp that one could not bear to look directly at him?

This veteran officer, with twenty years of experience, could not help but avert his gaze from Jiang Chen and cleared his throat.

"That’s not what I mean. We are asking you these questions to help you. We need to understand why they attacked you, also for your own personal safety. I hope you will not be resistant. As for the concern about your friend, you don’t need to worry at all. We’ve already arranged for someone to take care of him at the hospital."

Jiang Chen wasn’t someone who caused trouble without reason, but the attitude of these Korean police inevitably made him a bit annoyed.

"In broad daylight, someone chased me down to kill me without any scruples. Officer, how do you expect me to trust you?"

The officer’s face immediately showed embarrassment and he didn’t know how to respond for a moment.

The young officer responsible for taking notes stopped writing and forcefully knocked on the table.

"Watch your language! This is Korea! When we ask you something, you just answer honestly! What’s with all the nonsense?"

Jiang Chen’s smile widened even more.

He had just escaped from an assassin’s pursuit and now was being questioned as a criminal.

He wondered if these police would maintain the same attitude and bang on the table, emphasizing whose territory this was if he had been an American.

"Young man, calm down. Cooperating with us is also for your own good," the veteran officer intervened in a more soothing tone, trying to ease the atmosphere.

"I’ve already told you everything you want to know. I really have no idea who they are, nor do I know why they want to kill me. All I know is that my friend ended up in the hospital trying to save me, and now I need to get out of here."

The veteran officer was experienced and managed to keep his composure, but the younger officer couldn’t help losing his patience.

"What is this attitude! This is a police station, not a market where you come and go as you please. You can’t leave until you explain everything clearly!"

Before his words had ended, the door of the interrogation room was pushed open.

Accompanied by someone, Attorney Quan walked in.

The young officer’s face changed instantly, and he immediately stood up straight, saluting meticulously with a "Deputy Chief!"

The veteran officer also stood up and called out, "Chief Li."

The young man was still naive, otherwise, he wouldn’t have added the word ’deputy’ unnecessarily.

The deputy chief nodded lightly, then turned to Jiang Chen with politeness, "Mr. Jiang, we are very sorry about what happened this evening. Please be assured that we will do our best to investigate and clear this up at the earliest..."

Jiang Chen didn’t listen to the rest and directly interrupted, "Can I leave now?"

The deputy chief, whose speech was cut off, had a slightly stiff expression, clearly displeased by Jiang Chen’s rudeness, but he still managed to hold back and nodded, "Of course."

The young officer who was shouting moments ago now looked exceedingly embarrassed.

Jiang Chen left the room.

"My apologies for the trouble, Chief Li."

Attorney Quan shook hands with the other party, then quickly followed after.

"Mr. Jiang, don’t worry. I have contacted the hospital. The thugs didn’t hit any vital spots, and Mr. Gao is not in any serious danger."

An Audi was parked at the entrance of the police station, and Attorney Quan helped open the car door.

The two men got into the car one after the other.

An assistant was driving.

Hearing that Gao Zhengbi was not in danger, Jiang Chen felt somewhat relieved. After all, the man had been stabbed because of him. If anything had happened to him, his conscience would never have been clear for the rest of his life.

"Mr. Jiang, are you all right?" Attorney Quan asked with concern.

Jiang Chen let out a soft sigh, adjusting his bad mood from the police station, "Attorney Quan, thank you for your trouble again."

"You’re too kind, Mr. Jiang. It is simply part of my duty," said Attorney Quan with a smile, then reminded, "Mr. Jiang, do you need to give Ms. Shi a call?"

Jiang Chen nodded and took out his phone.

The number was dialed and connected within seconds.

"I’ll arrange a private jet immediately. You come back to me right now."

Before Jiang Chen could speak, Shi Qianxi’s imperious tone came through from the other end.

Yet this time, Jiang Chen felt no annoyance, but instead a slight warmth in his heart.

"You expect me to go back just like that?"

"What else? Or do you think staying in a police station isn’t enough, and you want to experience the quality of Korean hospital services like Gao Zhengbi?"

Jiang Chen, who was feeling irritable at first, couldn’t help but feel somewhat amused.

Perhaps this was the unique ability of the great witch Shi.

Jiang Chen’s lips moved as he was about to speak, but suddenly, a man’s voice came through from the other end.
