A rather unassuming game company that had developed four or five mobile games, but they had always been lukewarm in reception.

In a streetside café, pedestrians hurried by under their umbrellas as Jiang Chen sat by the glass window, looking out at the skyscraper opposite and sipping his warm coffee.

The young woman crossed the street and pushed through the door.

She walked towards him, her steps slowing the closer she got.
This was nothing like how old classmates should meet.

Jiang Chen was the first to smile and stand up.
Wei Chuyin gave a stiff smile, eyeing the man she had once belittled, her lips murmuring, before she also softly said, "It’s been a long time."
Jiang Chen’s face showed no change as he smiled and made a gesture, "Please, have a seat."
They sat down facing each other.
"Blue Mountain, thank you."
Wei Chuyin told the waiter.
"How did you end up in a game company?" Jiang casually asked.
"High salary, meals and accommodation included."
Jiang gave a wry smile.
Such a plain response.
"I didn’t expect you to come yourself," Wei Chuyin looked at him, her eyes complex.
"It’s good to see an old classmate."
Jiang Chen smiled and asked, "What about Ai Qian? Is she at this company, too?"
"No, she isn’t here. Her company is nearby, not far away."
Jiang Chen nodded and picked up his coffee.
Wei Chuyin gazed at him, hesitated, then couldn’t help but ask, "You don’t even know where she works?"
"On graduation day, she seemed to mention it, but I’d forgotten."
They hadn’t been in contact since graduation.
Wei Chuyin, who had once witnessed their relationship blossom and then part ways, fell silent.
"How is she doing now?"
Jiang Chen asked casually, not so much out of concern for an ex-girlfriend but more as polite small talk.
Wei Chuyin was about to blurt out the answer, but for some reason, she held back.
"You two are best friends, how could you not know?" Liang Chen said involuntarily.

"General Jiang, your time is precious, and I’m sure you didn’t come to chat with me."

"Here’s your coffee."
The waiter brought the coffee.
Wei Chuyin controlled her emotions.
Once the waiter had left, Jiang Chen spoke calmly and deliberately, "This is not about the money, our game being a plagiarism is something your company knows well, and we know well. My reason for coming here is because we are all in the same industry, there’s no need to be so rigid, business should be conducted in good faith and aim for mutual prosperity."
Jiang Chen entered a professional and businesslike demeanor, with Wei Chuyin suddenly feeling uncomfortable.

They were once classmates.

Wei Chuyin reiterated.
