The smile on the woman’s lips gradually faded, and she squinted at the agent, seemingly having seen through her bravado.
"Who you are, how could I not know? It seems President Lawson really isn’t that interested in you anymore." The agent sneered. While others might not know, she could guess a few things. Landon Lawson might still have some feelings for her, but definitely not as much as before.
"You’re talking nonsense. Stephen likes me the most; he and Sienna are long in the past." Vera Yates clenched her fist, her small face flushed with anger.
The agent turned her gaze to the assistant, who had been too scared to speak up. The assistant was naturally timid, and the agent often quarreled with Vera, so she obediently stood by, never interrupting.
"Was Landon Lawson here last night?"
The assistant’s head dropped lower and lower.

"You better keep an eye on Landon Lawson. Sienna’s return is disruptive, bringing a child back just to compete for your man. Didn’t she use underhanded tactics to marry Lawson five years ago?"
Clara spoke with disdain, portraying Sienna in the worst light, observing Vera closely for any reaction.

"Best friend? Why else would she use a child to tie down Lawson? At the last family gathering, didn’t she come with Lawson and the child, flaunting in the house? She clearly doesn’t treat you as a friend, engaging in such shameless behavior knowing you’re together."
