"It’s not your place to boss Vera around!" Before Vera could respond, Landon roared at Sienna as if protecting Vera.
"Sienna, if it weren’t for you, how would Stephen’s hand have turned out this way?" Vera Yates’ eyes brimmed with tears, her tearful appearance made her seem sincerely wronged.
Sienna squinted, coldly staring at Vera Yates; this woman surely knows how to seize every opportunity!
Sienna couldn’t bear it anymore, she dashed forward and yanked Vera Yates out.
"Stephen, it hurts!" Vera Yates exaggeratedly screamed as if Sienna had dislocated her arm, her sharp voice piercing Sienna’s ears.
"Shut up!" Sienna’s gaze was fierce, she had completely lost her patience and showed her means and stance.

Facing the rogue, Vera Yates revealed a malicious smile, mocking her ignorance: "You better confess to Landon Lawson that you did everything, otherwise don’t think any of your family gets by well!"

Night deepened, Landon Lawson leaned on the recliner. The night wind howled outside, curtains waved with the wind, making rustling sounds. Landon’s eyes were tightly shut, a book on his chest rising and falling with his breathing.
The door was gently opened, Sienna tiptoed in.
With a thin blanket in hand, she walked over to cover Landon.

She thought she’d be released, but Landon’s next moment lips blocked hers, followed by a big hand roaming over her body.
Yet even this wasn’t enough, the man disregarded Sienna’s oppositional resistance, reaching to tug at her skirt.
"Landon Lawson! Are you mad?" Unclear of the reason, Sienna loudly questioned.
"Huh!" Landon snorted coldly: "Afraid? If so, stay away from me otherwise I’ll do worse!"
But who would ever know the pain Landon felt when saying those words.
