I have an infinite number of shikigami Chapter 517

"Even though we’re already married..." Fujiwara Reya whispered with their faces touching.

Kasahara Fumi looked into his dark eyes, staring at her own reflection: "Just wait a little longer..." Discover more novels at novel⸺fire.net

"It’s not a problem, I have patience," Fujiwara Reya’s cheek gently brushed against hers, feeling the delicate skin, "After all, you can’t escape anymore, there’s plenty of time... I can hold you anytime, hold hands whenever, and we can do so many things together."

"Like what?" there was a hint of joy in Kasahara Fumi’s eyes.

She lightly slapped his face, but Fujiwara Reya’s expression remained unchanged.

"After all, we’re a registered couple at the Yuanjie God, so teasing you is perfectly justified... Suddenly, I remembered something, tomorrow when you’re on duty, can you wear the handcuffs? In your police uniform, cuff yourself, and we can play a role-play..."

The warmth of his breath, the softness of their cheeks, the feeling of being pressed against her behind, all these unprecedented experiences burrowed into Kasahara Fumi’s heart. She was a woman who didn’t know how to love and didn’t know how to respond, so she leaned softly against him, listening to his tender and lingering heartbeat.

She didn’t know how long it had been.

They talked by the window the whole time, and Kasahara Fumi changed her position approximately every ten minutes. Sometimes she crossed her arms and looked directly at Fujiwara Reya; other times, she lazily lay her head on his shoulder, or sat on the windowsill, her delicate legs swinging idly. Occasionally, Fujiwara Reya would lift her legs up to his waist, having her pose to straddle him.

Kasahara Fumi definitely wouldn’t do that.

Still, her legs were lifted up, and she didn’t reproach him. Her expression was less cold than usual, marked by a bit of Mrs. Kasahara’s graceful idleness. Occasionally, she interjected a word or two, her voice unlike her usual tone. Her lips, usually sparing in speech, were now like those of a youthful girl, red and vibrant; her eyes exuded a dignified luster.

"How do you plan to test Miss Shizuka?"

"Why would I test her?"

"...Since you’re not testing her, what was all the trouble of getting in here for?"

"Oh, I had the Mirror Princess attach to the small compact mirror in her backpack." Fujiwara Reya smiled smugly, "We can’t get any information out of these Fox Girls by questioning them, better to track them with positioning."

Kasahara Fumi’s eyes slightly stiffened: "Only by coming in here can the Mirror Princess track her?"

"Of course not, the Mirror Princess is incredible; she can hide in any place with a reflective surface. For instance, car rearviews, shop windows, puddles on the street, reflective metal zippers & buttons, etc... Theoretically, Mirror Princess can track anyone anytime."

Kasahara Fumi took a deep breath.

Her cheeks puffed up with anger, but to Fujiwara Reya, this posture made her seem adorably contrasting.

"You’re deliberately tricking me into coming here, aren’t you?" she asked, pinching Fujiwara Reya’s neck.

"Yeah, I did trick you into coming here," Fujiwara Reya admitted candidly, "If I want to capture the heart of Fumi, senseless tenderness isn’t enough; I have to use a bit of playful cunning to get close to you. Being outwardly smug while calmly plotting inside is my way of love affairs."

"We’re done." Kasahara Fumi’s legs slid off his waist, and her feet landed on the ground.

Fujiwara Reya’s hands still held her waist; his sight met her nose tip, and he laughed leisurely: "But, you see, this decision was made on the spur of the moment, not some premeditated thought. I hope you can believe me in this."

Kasahara Fumi looked at the boy who was half a head shorter than herself, with a hint of a smile forming at the corner of her mouth.

Although the smile was subtle, it was clear she wasn’t angry, likely because she had grown accustomed to this kind of behavior from him.

"I don’t want to know why, but I believe you aren’t fundamentally an honest person."

I’m not even human... Fujiwara Reya asked sincerely: "Can you make me a bit more honest?"

"How do I make you honest?"

"I always listen to my wife," Fujiwara Reya divulged like it was a secret.

"Then you should listen to me," Kasahara Fumi suddenly acknowledged her own identity, placing her hands on his shoulders and commanded, "You’ve been holding on long enough, let go now."

The wind blew through the gaps between the tall buildings, lifting her orange hair.

"What did you say? I can’t hear clearly." Fujiwara Reya held her waist fondly, like cuddling a warm quilt on a winter morning, "The wind is too strong, let me hug you and keep warm."

"How long do you plan to hug me?" Kasahara Fumi pushed against his shoulders.

"If possible, until the end of the world," Fujiwara Reya pulled her hands down, placing them between their chests, and softly asked, "Would Fumi be willing?"

"...Let’s talk about it later." Kasahara Fumi replied indifferently.

"I’ll wait for you," Fujiwara Reya said softly, his fingers gently brushing her hair at the forehead.

Kasahara Fumi watched his fingers.

Those long, slender, and powerful fingertips wandered through the orange strands, and shortly before, those fingers had been playing with her black silk.

Miss Shizuka walked in, sniffing the air with her nose.

There was no strange smell, but the young couple was at least intimately embracing by the window; she didn’t overthink it and said, "Sir, time’s up, would you like to add more time?"

Fujiwara Reya was about to say "add," but Kasahara Fumi spoke first: "Settle the bill!"

Miss Shizuka looked at the young husband.

"At home, it’s up to the wife to decide."

Fujiwara Reya released Fumi’s soft body and stretched contentedly.

After settling the bill, they left the couple’s tearoom. In the early hours of East Shinjuku, the large neon signs still flashed, but the streets had only garbage, no people, appearing to be already engulfed by the tranquil urban night.

Kasahara Fumi slipped into a pencil skirt and walked on the empty streets in high heels.

The stakeout mission for the night was over. Before parting, Fujiwara Reya stood in front of Kasahara Fumi, solemnly looking at her with rare seriousness: "There is something I need to confess."

"Riho and Miki have complaints about you," he said, "This month, you’ve monopolized my evenings every night, and they are somewhat dissatisfied, planning to jointly file a complaint against you."

Kasahara Fumi looked slightly embarrassed.

"Come on, just kidding, they’re not that petty," Fujiwara Reya chuckled again, "Do you want to stay over at the Asakusa Shrine? After waking up tomorrow, I’ll make you hot fried eggs and delicious sandwiches. Oh, do you prefer your eggs fully cooked or with a runny yolk?"

Kasahara Fumi pondered slightly: "Fully cooked, but Asuka likes runny yolks."

"Got it, I’ll make sure both you sisters are satisfied." Fujiwara Reya waved, humming as he hailed a taxi and left.

Kasahara Fumi returned to the surveillance van.

Leaning her forehead against the steering wheel, she took a few deep breaths.

A strange feeling she had never experienced before surged suddenly, nearly shattering her thoughts completely.
