The old man said with a beaming smile, "They got it the day before yesterday. Your brother even kissed Quinn right in front of me. That rascal, he finally didn’t disappoint his grandpa."
"Grandpa..." Yara Quincy was speechless.

Claire Sinclair jerked her hand back.
She turned, pressing her back against the wall. She didn’t have the courage to go inside.

The moment she turned, she saw a devastatingly beautiful face and almost couldn’t stop herself from crying out, "Quinn!" But, being quick-witted, she recognized the woman’s identity in a single glance.
"You’re Claire Sinclair."
"I am," Claire Sinclair admitted.
Yara Quincy asked urgently, "Did you really marry my brother?"
Claire Sinclair nodded. "It’s only temporary. Once Grandpa White-beard passes away, I’ll divorce your brother."
Yara Quincy furrowed her brows, her eyes filled with worry. "Don’t be so casual about it. For someone of my brother’s status, divorce is a major taboo."
Claire Sinclair immediately fell silent.
’The girl is right. A divorce would inevitably affect the reputation of a cabinet member. This isn’t child’s play.’
’No wonder he kept refusing to divorce me...’
’For the sake of his political career, what was sacrificing his own happiness? And sacrificing mine? That was nothing at all.’
Yara Quincy sized up the girl with curiosity. Although she looked identical to Quinn, she had no imposing aura at all. She was as gentle and yielding as water, with the delicate air of a sheltered girl.
’Thinking back to the powerful and domineering Quinn at the training camp... so dashing in her military uniform, with those sharp, spirited almond eyes and that innate killing aura... there wasn’t a single trace of any of that in this girl.’
"You and Quinn are worlds apart," Yara Quincy said bluntly, pulling no punches.
Claire Sinclair had been hearing such comparisons since she was a child and had long since become immune. She didn’t take it to heart and simply said, "What’s your name? You should tell me, or I’m afraid I’ll blow my cover in front of Grandpa White-beard."
"My brother didn’t tell you?"
Claire Sinclair fell silent.
’From the day we got married until now, he’d never told me about his family, and I’d never asked. We were more like strangers than friends.’
Yara Quincy could tell the answer from her expression. "I’m Yara Quincy," she said. "I’m his sister."
"Who else is in your family?" Claire Sinclair couldn’t help but ask.
"Our parents and me. You don’t need to know the other relatives. They’re not important."
Claire Sinclair nodded and said nothing more.
