“Get lost, you’re the dog!” Shen Qingyue rolled her eyes at her. “Strictly speaking, we haven’t divorced yet. We’re just waiting for him to follow me to the Civil Affairs Bureau to get a certificate.”
Chen Ying stared at her for a while, then suddenly hugged her, excitedly saying, “You’ve finally come to your senses! I’ve been telling you all along that Qin Zhen, that scumbag, isn’t worthy of you. You were like a blind fool, but now you finally look like a proper person. What are your conditions? Look at his attitude, doesn’t he even consider his own worth? By the way, when are you getting the divorce certificate? Shen Qingyue took a sip of water to calm herself. “Forget it, it’s not clean.”
Chen Ying did not intend to let her off easily. “I’ll take care of it, don’t worry! The guys I’ll find for you are all decent, a hundred times better than that scumbag…”
Perhaps it was because the two of them had made too much noise, Qin Zhen finally noticed them. When he looked over, Shen Qingyue also happened to raise her head.
Qin Zhen sneered and repeatedly mentioned divorce, but Wei Jiu’er could not sit still after returning to the country and followed him. It turned out that her decisive attitude was just an act. For some reason, he felt like the tension he had been feeling these past few days had eased a bit.
“Zhen!”
Hearing someone calling him, Qin Zhen came back to his senses.” What’s wrong?”
Wei Jiu’er smiled gently. “I’m talking to you, but you haven’t replied to me. What are you thinking about?”
“Nothing,” Qin Zhen replied vaguely.
Unable to help herself, Wei Jiu’er turned around and spotted Shen Qingyue. She narrowed her eyes. “Zhen, isn’t that Shen Qingyue? I just returned to the country today, let’s go say hello to her.”
Qin Zhen paused for a moment and agreed.
Shen Qingyue and Chen Ying were looking at the menu when two shadows cast over them.
Wei Jiu’er maintained her perennial smile. “Shen Qingyue, it’s been a long time.”
Shen Qingyue lifted an eyebrow at her. “Oh, is this a date?”
“Zhen and I are just having an ordinary meal,” Wei Jiu’er said with a smile. “Don’t misunderstand.”
“Tsk, are you afraid that I’ll misunderstand? Did you bring him here just to show off to the official wife? The mistress displaying her presence?” Shen Qingyue put down the menu and looked up at her.
The smile on Wei Jiu’er’s face froze.
Qin Zhen’s eyebrows furrowed tightly, enough to crush a fly. “Shen Qingyue, stop causing trouble and talking nonsense.”
Shen Qingyue rolled her eyes. “Hmm, I’m causing trouble, am I? Well then, you two lovebirds, keep your distance from me.”
Wei Jiu’er looked aggrieved. “Qingyue, we’re friends. Do you hate me?”
Shen Qingyue raised her head, “Yeah, isn’t it obvious enough? Even if you’re not blind, you should be able to tell, right?”
The air froze for a moment.
Shen Qingyue beckoned Chen Ying. “Let’s go, let’s eat somewhere else.” As she took a step forward, Wei Jiu’er deliberately stretched out her foot and tripped her.
Coincidentally, a waiter carrying a tray approached them. Shen Qingyue lost her balance and collided with the waiter. The tray in the waiter’s hand fell to the ground, the glass shattered, and red wine stained her dress.
Wei Jiu’er hurriedly acted ‘concerned’ and said, “Qingyue, are you okay? How could you be so careless…”
Shen Qingyue looked back at her and smiled. Then, he picked up the red wine on the table, pulled out the cork, raised it over Wei Jiu’er’s head, and poured it down.
The air seemed to freeze again
Qin Zhen snapped back to reality and immediately became furious, “Shen Qingyue, what are you doing?!”
Shen Qingyue placed the wine bottle back on the table, still wearing a smile on her face, though it did not reach her eyes. “Are you blind too? Can’t you see I’m just returning the favor? Then, Miss Wei, if you bother me again, it won’t be just wine pouring over your head.”
After saying that, she prepared to leave with Chen Ying. However, after taking a few steps, she paused. “By the way, please remind Miss Wei to urge Qin Zhen. I’ve already waited twice for the divorce matter. If he breaks his appointment again, I won’t be so easy to talk to.”
After leaving the hotel, Chen Ying was still reminiscing about what had just happened. “Baby, you’ve really broadened my horizons! Isn’t this love? Awesome!”
Shen Qingyue spoke coldly, “I think you’re getting a bit too fond of me. Control yourself.” They exchanged glances and both laughed.
As Chen Ying received a call from her mother and left first, Shen Qingyue was about to get into her car but was stopped by Qin Zhen. She coldly asked, “Is there something else, Mr. Qin?”
Qin Zhen suppressed his anger. “Go apologize to Jiu’er!”
Shen Qingyue looked at him. “Are you okay?”
Qin Zhen shouted, “Don’t bully her just because Jiu’er is kind!”
