I Received System to Become Dragonborn Chapter 762

The lightning spell trapped Laston in an unyielding snare. But Laston, Saeldir, and King Gulben all knew it wouldn't hold for long. Saeldir had to continuously channel his magic into it to keep it stable.

King Gulben gritted his teeth and advanced toward the immobilized Laston. Suddenly, a deep humming sound grew louder from within Laston's body as the crimson light surrounding him intensified.

Realizing he couldn't waste another second, King Gulben quickened his pace toward Laston, ignoring the pain that now spread from his injured arms to the rest of his body.

Laston's eyes gleamed crimson as he stared at King Gulben, noting the grim determination on his pain-stricken face.

"I'm impressed that you managed to survive my cannon shot," Laston said, his voice distorted by the energy coursing through him.

"You probably think you've already defeated me, don't you?" King Gulben replied. "I'll have to shatter that illusion, Laston. Because you've already lost."

"Is that so?" Laston concentrated, his mind racing. He couldn't press the activation button on his wrist, but it didn't matter. He only needed to channel more energy to access the portal manually.

The humming grew louder, now resonating deep within Laston's head.

Saeldir noticed the shift. "Your Majesty!" he shouted. "You have to kill him before he does something again!"

King Gulben knew exactly what he had to do, but the pain in his body slowed him down. He didn't reply to Saeldir, only kept walking toward Laston with agonizing steps.

Meanwhile, Saeldir, worried about what Laston was planning, poured more magic into his spell, intensifying the lightning snare to counteract the growing energy radiating from Laston's body.

King Gulben finally reached Laston, gripping the hilt of his embedded sword. But Laston's thoughts had already outpaced him—he had finished summoning the last wave of his troops.

Ten portals tore open behind Laston, releasing the dormant metal constructs that had been waiting in stasis.

King Gulben gritted his teeth. But he wasn't too worried. He still had one more ally waiting for the right moment to strike.

He had anticipated that Laston would have a final trick up his sleeve, a desperate act when faced with defeat. That's why he had waited for the perfect opportunity to call upon King Fairon's forces.

"Fairon, you can move now. Attack with full force."

"So, you predicted this would happen and had us wait in order to ambush them from behind?" Fairon's voice responded from the distant ranks.

"Yes," King Gulben replied simply.

A moment later, the thunderous sound of unicorn hooves echoed from the distance, followed by the fierce war cries of countless Forest Elf warriors eager for battle.

Laston heard it too. He strained his head as much as he could to glance back. From the corner of his eye, he saw hundreds of troops charging toward his position. His expression hardened.

"Now, Laston," King Gulben said, his voice unwavering. "You should have used the last of your strength to free yourself from Saeldir's spell, not summon reinforcements."

King Gulben tightened his grip on his sword's hilt, channeling his magic into it before pulling it free.

The moment he withdrew the blade, Laston's shoulder shattered, and his left arm fell to the ground.

A bright red liquid that too vibrant to be called blood gushed from his wound. Laston grimaced but made no sound.

Saeldir, despite his exhaustion from maintaining the spell, grinned as he saw the damage inflicted on their enemy.

The war cries in the distance grew louder, drawing closer with every heartbeat.

He could almost see the end of this fight. Victory was within their grasp.

"No. Don't jinx it," Saeldir muttered, shaking his head. Then he chose to focus entirely on maintaining his spell.

The army of Forest Elves who clad in brown and green armor surged forward with unwavering determination after hearing their king's ordere. Their powerful brown Unicorns galloping across the battlefield.

Their arrival was met with the emergence of Laston's reinforcements. Metal constructs in humanoid form stepping out of the portals in perfect synchronization, their glowing crimson eyes scanning the battlefield with cold precision.

King Fairon looking at the sight of the approaching enemy and raised his sword high. His voice rang out, carrying over the battlefield.

"Warriors of the forest, strike them down!"

His army responded with a deafening war cry, their spirits ignited.

At his command, the Elven archers raised their enchanted bows. A moment later the sky was painted with streaks of glowing green and golden light as volleys of Magic arrows rained down on the newly arrived constructs.

The first line of enemies was immediately struck, their metallic bodies sparking and convulsing under the enchanted projectiles.

Some collapsed instantly, their limbs seizing as Elven Magic disrupted their inner mechanisms. Others endured, pushing forward despite the damage.

The metal constructs began their counterattack. Their arms transformed, shifting seamlessly into various weapons like plasma cannons, blade-like extensions, and rapid-fire energy blasters.

They fired back at the charging Elves, beams of searing red energy slicing through the air.

The Forest Elves maneuvered skillfully around the deadly blasts. Their Unicorns weaved through the battlefield.

The frontline warriors clashed with the constructs, their enchanted weapons cutting into metal, their Magic-infused strikes shattering mechanical limbs.

King Fairon, leading from the front, swung his blade, slicing clean through a construct's chest. A burst of green energy followed, disrupting the creature's core and causing it to collapse.

More constructs emerged from the portals. Their numbers growing by the second.

From above, King Gulben watched the battle unfold while gripping his sword tightly. He knew the Forest Elves would hold their ground but he also knew this was a fight against time. They needed to finish Laston before the reinforcements overwhelmed them.

Saeldir, still straining to maintain his lightning snare, gritted his teeth. "Your Majesty, now's the time!"

King Gulben nodded, tightening his hold on his blade. His hands trembled slightly, pain surging through his arms, but he ignored it.

He had to end Laston before the tide of battle could turn again.

Suddenly the humming sound from Laston's body was screaming louder than before. He looks like a wounded beast calling for help.
