Because I’m Kael Vi-rel one of the people who helped support the game’s development back in school. I knew every story, every patch, every hidden quest. I even had ten years of experience before I finally cleared the game different times.
I was one of the top-ranked players. Some even called me the best. Well... maybe I was, maybe I wasn’t. But I do know one thing
This isn’t just a game anymore this is reality.
These stats are awful. Too average to survive, let alone thrive. Sure, I might make it through the first disaster, but what about the rest?
This world runs on power, and if I die here, it might really be the end for me even do I got a second chance at life.

I stepped into the room. Four examiners stared at me from across the table.

"Why do you want to be a hero?"
I hadn’t prepared an answer. So I just said the first thing that came to mind.
"To protect myself and my family... and bring honor to my country."
"If you gain power, what would you use it for?"
They’d see right through anything fake, so I kept it honest.
"What were you planning to do if you didn’t get in?"
"...Go home, I guess. Get a job. Something small delivery, odd security work, maybe monster hunting in the outskirts if I got desperate.
I only took the exam because I had nothing else.
If I failed? I would’ve just... moved on."
"Do you think you deserve the spot you earned?"
The others trained their whole lives for this. Some have family names, battle records, real power.
But I passed the same test they did. No cheating, no begging.

Not dying not even failure just the feeling that no matter what I do, I can’t change a thing.

"But fate’s not something I trust. I’d rather rely on what I can control, even if it’s just a little."

I bowed and left the room.
There’s no end to this grind.
