I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra Chapter 144

When I opened my eyes, I was staring at a white ceiling. I immediately sat up, and the sharp pain I expected didn’t come. ’Did Kairos heal my injuries?’

It seemed that Kairos had sent us to a hospital. I looked around for any signs of Kairos, but he was nowhere to be found. Then my eyes landed on the tabletop beside me. There was a piece of paper and a black rose resting there.

Curious, I opened the letter.

I’m sorry I wasn’t the first one you saw when you opened your eyes, I have something to attend to so I dropped you and your friend in this hospital. Hope you get well soon.

Don’t miss me too much,

I couldn’t help but smile at his gesture, feeling a warmth in my chest. I looked at the rose and was about to smell it when the curtain beside me opened.

I quickly hid the rose and letter, feeling a flush rise to my cheeks.

"Remi?" He groaned my name as he tried to sit up, wincing in pain. "Where are we?"

"Umm we’re in..." I quickly scanned the room for clues. "We’re still at Bohlo, Everridge Hospital."

"Did you carry me here?" He asked, his eyes narrowing as he looked at me.

"Yes... Is something wrong?" I lied, trying to sound concerned.

"Well... It’s just that my back hurts as if I was dragged the whole time I fainted," He said, rubbing his back.

I awkwardly laughed, feeling a little guilty. "You’re just imagining things." I said, trying to brush it off, but I already had dozens of questions about how Kairos had helped Cypher.

I quickly changed the topic. "Anyways, how did your fight go with the two?"

"I only knocked them unconscious," he said, his tone matter-of-fact.

As expected of Cypher; he wouldn’t kill anyone without a reason. But if he knew they were Rogues, that would be a different story.

"How about you?" he said.

"Ummm... He ran away," I lied again although I’m sure Kairos already killed that one.

"Anyways, how did it feel when you used the cane?" I quickly changed the topic again.

"I don’t think this is just an ordinary cane," he said as he picked the cane near his bed and handed it to me.

"Of course, this is much better than any canes out there," I said. "This cane is Fendral’s cane."

Fendral, the god of swords, was excellent at using all kinds of swords, but when he became crippled because of his friend betraying him, the only thing he carried was his cane. Soon, when the enemies heard he was a cripple, they immediately formed an army and marched towards him. Once they saw him, his enemies laughed and ridiculed him but when the battle started, the one only left standing was Fendral along with his cane.

When Cypher heard this divine name of myths, his eyes widened in shock.

I continued my explanation. "But as you know, a divine weapon needs to undergo one or more awakenings to fully reveal itself. I’m sure that this cane must be Fendral’s sword."

"That’s why it looks so simple," he said. "Then we should figure out how to awaken it, right?"

"About that... I already know how," I said with a confident smile, gesturing for him to extend his hand.

Curious, he rested his hand on my palm, and without a warning, I sliced my dagger across his palm, letting his blood drip onto the cane. The hospital equipment beeped and whirred around us, but I just muttered under my breath.

"Now say, ’I release you from your bonds, Fendral.’"

He repeated the words, his eyes widening in surprise as he felt a surge of energy course through his body. The next moment, the cane burst into a blinding light, and we closed our eyes from the intensity.

The next moment, the cane glowed brightly as we closed our eyes from the brightness.

When the brightness disappeared, the cane still looked like its ordinary self, but I know that Cypher can feel the hidden power beneath it.

"Try pulling its handle," I said, my excitement building.

As he pulled the handle, the cane’s surface began to shift, revealing the true form of Fendral. A magnificent black obsidian sword materialized, its edge glinting in the hospital lights. The sword fit perfectly in Cypher’s grasp, and he held it with a look of awe on his face.

"See? Now you have your own legendary weapon," I said with a smile.

"...Are you sure in giving this to me?" he asked, his voice laced with doubt. "I mean, you were the one who unlocked its true form."

"It’s alright," I said with a chuckle. "Besides, you were the one who slayed Tenebris, and I’m not exactly a skilled swordsman myself."

He looked at me, his expression softened, and said, "Thank you, Remi."

I stretched my body, feeling a little more energized now. "Shall we go?"

He nodded, and I headed towards the counter to ask about the bill. The nurse looked up at me and said with a smile, "Your bills have already been taken care of."

I raised an eyebrow, wondering who would have paid for our hospital bills. As we walked out of the hospital, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude towards Kairos. I would make sure to thank him the next time we met.

I’m now back in my dorm, me and Cypher splitting up at the portal station since he wanted to go see someone else.

I dropped my bag with a thud and collapsed onto the bed, the exhaustion finally catching up to me.

[Congratulations in activating the legendary weapon ’Fendral’!]

[As a reward you are given a snack that Fendral loves to eat!]

’Do I look like I need a snack as a reward?’ I grumbled to myself, staring up at the ceiling. My stomach was still full from the hospital food.

[This thousand-year-old ’Blossom Cookie’ can be eaten to increase your health!]

’Are you planning on food poisoning me right now?’ I thought sarcastically. A thousand-year-old cookie? That sounded like a recipe for disaster, even for a system.

[Or you can just smash it to make yourself a weapon!]

’And how am I supposed to do that? Sprinkle it on anything and suddenly I have a brand new weapon?’ I mentally rolled my eyes. "Come on, what is with these vague hints?" I complained.

The system didn’t answer, and then, without warning, the cookie wrapped in wrapper materialized in front of me and it hit my face! I sat up and grabbed the cookie.

"What was that for?!" I annoyingly shouted the system.

[Stop complaining and just accept the damn cookie as a reward!]

Sighing, I looked for my expansion pouch and threw the cookie inside. I was about to close it when I saw the letter and rose again.

I pulled it out my expansion pouch as I hid the letter in my drawer and looked for a vase to place the rose.

Thorne was ordered by their boss to kill one of the two Rogues and let the other one live. This was done to stabilize the stock prices. Furthermore, the situation of the Sapphire Blood guild master had already been handled.

Now, Kairos, alongside Thorne, is back at their organization. They are watching the footage of Remillia’s fight.

"How did she manage to throw her daggers all at once then managed to attack her enemy like a boomerang?" Thorne was impressed by seeing her fight.

Although it was the result of using mana and aura, it wasn’t easy to create such destructive power with multiple daggers at once!

But what Thorne liked more than her combat prowess was how ruthless she is. Even though the Rogue already fell down, she still approached him and repeatedly struck his head.

If the enemy wasn’t a Rogue, he would have lost his life when he was struck by those daggers.

At the same time, Remillia didn’t even know that her enemy was a Rogue. She only attacked him with calm yet a heavy killing intent.

Meanwhile, they looked at the other video.

"I’m also impressed with this guy. He can fight two of them with only a cane at the same time!" Thorne said.

"He’s already out of the list since he refused to kill them," Kairos said.

Thorne shook his head in disappointment. "It’s such a shame though, we have two valuable Recruits but only one passed the test."

The last test was about if the Recruits could kill a person.

"But boss, why won’t you watch it until the end? I want to see how the lady finsihed the Rogue," Thorne said.

"Is there a need to?" Kairos said.

"...No?" Thorne said, as he couldn’t find a reason why.

"Then..." Kairos deleted the video of Remillia.

"Why?" Thorne whined.

"So you won’t watch this when I leave this room," Kairos smirked as he left the room.
