Arc 2, Chapter 100—All CARDS on Deck
Card Boy Vs Card Girl.
This was going to be good.
Emerging from the shadows, Leo arrived at the scene, still focused on the game in his hand. It seemed that nothing was more important than the Game box in his hands.
The sounds of electronic victories bellowed as Leo crushed his enemy in the game.
Emerging behind him from the shadows, was a cute girl with pigtails on both sides of her head, standing like long flowy horns.
Of course this person was YIMU. One should never be fooled by how soft-looking and cute she was.
Admiring her newly coated fingernails, Yimu reigned in her nails, painted it again, and stretched it back again to have a better look at it.
For a moment, both Leo and Yimu looked like they couldn’t be bothered with this match at all. They didn’t even look as though they were about to battle.
’What an odd pairing.’ Many concluded.
Soon the duo reached the arena’s center. It was time.
The host raised and dropped his hand, signaling for the match to begin.
But unlike the other matches where both rushed to each other at once, Leo and Yimu casually walked a distance from each other before revealing their shards.
Leo calmly placed his sleek game console in his pack pocket, while Yimu did away with her nail polish too.
Only then did the duo give each other deep looks after revealing their shards.
"I’ve been meaning to say this for a while. Nice Card."
Both chuckled in amusement, as their cards enlarged to a size similar to a door’s.
Yimu vs Leo—The King Of Diamonds vs the Queen of Spades.
It was funny how Yimu got a Shard King Card while Leo got a Queen.
The battle finally started. And for a moment, all the spectators could see was the snarl and twist of both cards vanishing and reappearing in a burst of light.
5 minutes went by as the duo flexed their comprehension of Shard manipulation. In addition, there were several more abilities that made the jaws of many drop.
A deadly light flickered through Yimu’s pupils. And in a flash, duplicated her King of Diamond.
Everyone saw a faint glow on her Card, followed by the appearance of a hand and an axe.
The King of Diamond himself, had sent forth a hand from the card. And that hand held his famous axe. The axe came to life with horrific precision, making the audience begin to boil.
"This... This... This is too much, right? I have a card shard myself. And I can tell you that at my rank Bloodren 7, I can only make a thumb come out of my card!"
"What am I seeing? Are you sure she’s a newbie? A new Bloodren 10? Impossible! I don’t believe it!"
"Right! Now, it’s only an arm and part of the axe that can step out of the card. But what happens when she is allowed to grow and train her abilities more?"
"Yeah! Wouldn’t it mean that she will probably multiply her cards and get an army of King of Diamonds?"
"That’s what I’m saying. That time, they will be able to fully step out of the cards, obeying her every wish. Mind you, Each side of her card has 2 King faces and 2 axes... That means she has a total of 4 KINGS and 4 Axes."
"Right now, she is able to draw out 1 hand and 1 axe out from each card as a Bloodren 10. So imagine how soon it will be for her to pull out all 4 Kings? Who knows, maybe she’ll be able to pull out their entire bodies, not just an arm, by then."
"Impossible! I can only pull out a Thumb as a Bloodren 7. So why can she do it?"
"Dammit, don’t lie to me, she can’t be a newbie! Even at my Bloodren 9 state, I can’t do what she’s doing. So how dare you tell me she’s just a NEWBIE?"
"No, no! Where the hell did they get these people from? I don’t believe they weren’t trained in secret before coming here!"
The reality of Yimu’s abilities hit many people’s egos hard.
This is too much! This is too much!
Several people placed their hands on their chests, fearing they might go into cardiac arrest from what their eyes saw.
Why? Why wasn’t it them who awakened such an awesome shard ability? Sure enough, Pile-quality matters.
Even the guy who said he had a card ability, had a shard from pile 16. So how could that compare with Yimu’s?
Don’t ask them why they were so confident. One shouldn’t forget that Yimu had duplicated her card into 2, bringing out a hand and an axe from each card.
At this point, many felt Leo was toast—especially when they saw the ferociousness of Yimu’s new attacks.
The axes moved ruthlessly. They were so fast and powerful that even the arena’s floors had slash marks and cracks, despite not receiving any direct hits from the blades.
Like tofu against a sharp blade, they felt he was a goner with no way to defend himself.
Many shook their heads in a sigh. Perhaps at this point, only the host will be able to save him.
In their mind’s, they had already concluded Leo’s fate, especially when seeing the deadly attack coming his way.
Just when they thought it was the end, Leo casually snapped a finger, revealing some abilities of his own too.
"NO! How can this be?" Someone exclaimed, leaning over the edge of their seats so far that they rolled over.
A clash of TITANS occurred, an atomic clash that caused an uproar.
They saw it! They saw it!
Seconds before Yimu’s attack made its mark, they saw 2 dainty but well-maintained arms appear.
They all held golden scepters, with the tip of their scepters blooming and opened like flowers, revealing sharp hidden spears.
Like ferocious guardians, they used these scepters to defend their MASTER!
But who? Who were the females with such fainty but powerful hands?
Of course they were his Queens... the Queens of Spade.
