Ch.184 Aromatic Ball (5)
Mu Mingtang instinctively felt that something was off, and inspected it repeatedly while she held it in her hand. At this moment, the voice of a maid came from behind her, and Mu Mingtang immediately held the aromatic ball with her backhand and hid it in her palm.
She turned around, and a maid in cyan coloured clothes stood at the door, with her head lowered, she asked pleasingly: "Princess Consort, the kitchen has just sent someone to ask, when should lunch be sent over as all preparations have been done?"

"Yes." After the maid said this, she then left respectfully. Mu Mingtang wasn’t sure whether it was her own illusion, but she felt that the maid took a quick glance at her sleeve before stepping back.
After this aromatic ball incident, Mu Mingtang immediately recalled another strange event. It was quite the coincidence that she originally planned to go to Xiangguo Temple yesterday, but later thought it was too time-consuming to head out, so she gave up on the idea. If she really went out as planned, she would definitely not return for a while. In other words, when Xie Xuanchen turned manic, she would still be outside of the manor.

The food was tasteless to her. When Xie Xuanchen woke up at noon, he found that Mu Mingtang was unusually quiet and obviously worried. Xie Xuanchen asked: "What's wrong?"

"Not yet. However, I plan to secretly let Imperial Physician Zhang take a look at it this afternoon."
Just as Mu Mingtang finished, the sound of footsteps could be heard from the outside. The maid yelled in a distance with much distress: "Princess Consort, something terrible has happened. Someone drowned to death in the garden!"
The maid's voice was not at all soft, and they could hear her clearly from inside the room. Xie Xuanchen laughed and said, "There’s no need for you to ask now, we already have the results."
