At this time, the other four people from the Ye Dynasty, Xie Xuanchen’s ‘teammates’, weren’t even able to catch up to them on horseback.
Xie Xuanchen didn’t care that no one was in vicinity to respond at all as he reigned in the horse’s reins. The horse’s hooves stepped back and forth in place, as if he was looking for an angle. Ye Luyan winked at the others, signalling that they must keep an eye on Xie Xuanchen and not let him break through.
It’s a pity that Xie Xuanchen never thought of breaking through from the beginning.
Without warning, he slammed the ball as it shot out like a shooting star, passing through the horse’s legs on the field. Its power was so strong that it crossed half of the field and entered the goal directly.
After the polo was thrown into the net, it even made a buzzing vibration on the impacted surface. Xie Xuanchen straightened up, looked at everyone on the field. The audience were shocked and couldn’t keep up with the progress. He spun his stick around his palms a few times before asking in a serious manner, “Are we really going to play again? This involves diplomatic relations between the two countries. Getting zero points in the end is not going to be a pretty sight.”
Polo
At the beginning of the game, Ye Luyan had taken the lead, managing to grab hold of the ball as Xiao Siyi suddenly screamed like crazy. Beirong was indeed quite different from them— if it were a Han woman, no matter how excited she was, she would never yell like Xiao Siyi.
Mu Mingtang’s ears hurt from the noise. As she merely blinked her eyes, the entire situation on the field suddenly changed.
They won.
…They won?
Xiao Siyi’s screams hadn’t dissipated yet. Her mouth was open wide and she kept on bouncing around, so it was rather weird when she abruptly stopped her hysterics.
Everyone was stunned for a moment, unable to react to the drastic turn of events. The field was eerily quiet for a moment and the people of the Ye Dynasty suddenly realised that there was scattered applause around them before they finally gauged onto what had occurred.
The servant sighed sincerely to Mu Mingtang, “Princess, the Prince is really powerful. He was able to hit the ball across half the field and into the goal without much effort. If this continues, wouldn’t His Highness be the one winning?”
