It was not difficult to write a prescription. Xie Xuanchen was already taking medications anyway, so prescribing a few more health-beneficial medications for him was not a big deal. The little Taoist priest followed the servant to the side to write the prescription, but Mu Mingtang also followed. She looked at it for a while and suddenly said, “This medicine is similar to the previous recuperation prescription, but the Prince is still getting sick after drinking it for so long. I think it’s because the previous doses weren’t enough.”
The little Taoist’s movements stopped. He was now a bit scared of the couple and didn’t know what to do for a while, “This…dare I ask the Princess what she thinks?”

The little Taoist took another piece of paper and wrote another prescription in a hurry before Mu Mingtang took a look. She found that the medicinal materials were still quite satisfactory tonics, but the proportion of coptis herbs had increased.
Mu Mingtang was very satisfied as she sent the little Taoist out with a smile. She handed the recipe to the servant and told her to brew them. Then, she proceeded to make her way back into the room.
At this moment, Xie Xuanchen still looked sickly as he laid on the bed. Mu Mingtang gave a small wave as the other servants bowed their heads in synchronisation and retreated from sight.
Mu Mingtang sat by the bed, looked at Xie Xuanchen carefully and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Xie Xuanchen still looked weak but he answered, “I don’t know. The extreme anger that I felt yesterday might have triggered some form of complications.”
Wow, he’s really willing to curse himself. Mu Mingtang thought as she looked at him quietly. Xie Xuanchen almost felt like she was on the verge of seeing through his act, but in the end, she nodded her head, “Okay. Then what do you need to do to recover?”
“Well…it shouldn’t be a big problem. Please pay more attention to me during this time, my Princess. We can check the situation before discussing the next steps of action.”
“Okay,” Mu Mingtang responded immediately. Since Xie Xuanchen had so many tricks up his sleeve, she was rather interested to see what sort of plans he could whip up on the spot. Therefore, Mu Mingtang nodded cooperatively and said, “We’ll do this however you like. How about now— do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”
Xie Xuanchen’s acting skills were very stable, as if he had immersed his entire being into his pitiful character,”I originally planned to use these couple of days to review some old books, but unfortunately I don’t have the strength to even turn the pages.”
Mu Mingtang glanced at him and asked, “Which book is it? Why don’t I take it and read it to you?”
Xie Xuanchen was overwhelmed by her willingness to give in. Was he going to be treated this well when he got sick? Had he known this, he would have gotten sick more often.
