Xie Xuanchen kept his mouth shut and didn’t want to speak. He stared at Mu Mingtang’s bright and gleaming eyes as he suddenly felt an impulse.
Xie Xuanchen didn’t say a word but waved his hand, signalling for Mu Mingtang to come closer. She thought he had something to say, so she actually adhered to his gestures and approached him.
As a result, when Mu Mingtang got close enough, Xie Xuanchen suddenly pulled her over, eager to touch her rosy lips that he had longed for. Mu Mingtang was defenceless as the sight of Xie Xuanchen’s face zoomed in before her eyes. She could even clearly see his long and thick eyelashes.
Immediately afterwards, a soft sensation came in contact with her lips and there was a faint, bitter taste of medicinal materials.
Mu Mingtang was completely stunned. Xie Xuanchen was apprehensive— since this was the first time he kissed her whilst she was sober, it might be difficult for him to do it again next time. For the sake of sustainable development in the future, he didn’t linger for too long, letting go after a feather-light peck.
When Xie Xuanchen returned to his position, Mu Mingtang’s expression still showed that she was in a daze as her mind failed to function for a bit.
This time, it was Xie Xuanchen who had a smile in his eyes as he took the time to ask, “What does Her Highness think? Did it help with my illness?”
Feigned Sickness
Mu Mingtang was stunned for a while before realising what Xie Xuanchen had done. She covered her mouth in astonishment and her first reaction was to look at the servant behind her.
The servants were used to the tactics and schemes of Xie Xuanchen’s actions, so how could they bat an eyelash at something like this? They all retreated consciously, lowered their heads firmly and resolutely refrained from taPrince Another look or listening to one more sentence.
With the servants gone, Mu Mingtang was somewhat relieved. After she realised it, she immediately glared at Xie Xuanchen angrily, “What are you doing?”
“Didn’t you ask me if the medicine is useful?” Xie Xuanchen said, “Actions are better than words, so I had you experience it for yourself. Was the medicine bitter?”
After Xie Xuanchen finished speaking, he paused suspiciously and said tactfully, “If you didn’t feel it, we can do it again.”
“No need!” Mu Mingtang looked at him angrily. Her face was already red as she said with a tense face, “I see that you are very energetic and even have the ability to think about all these crooked methods. You call this recuperation?”
“Why can’t I think of crooked methods when recuperating?” Xie Xuanchen felt that the logic of her words was wrong and corrected her, “Other things are boring, so of course I can’t get excited about them. But if it were you, I would not only have the strength to do things like these, but I’d even go further.”
Mu Mingtang looked at him in astonishment, her face turning red visibly. Xie Xuanchen didn’t think much about it at first, but when he saw her reaction, he suddenly became uncertain.
Did Mu Mingtang misunderstand? Was she thinking about what he was thinking now?
For a moment, Xie Xuanchen didn’t know who was the one who had dirty thoughts. Mu Mingtang became angry from embarrassment and glared at him, “You unserious oaf, what are you talking about?”
Xie Xuanchen hesitated to speak, “Actually, I didn’t mean that, but that’s fine as well.”
“Scram!”
