I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon Chapter 167

After Suzuki Koen leaving the Day Care with Dian, Yuga headed to the Ecopark.

Upon arriving at the Ecopark, Yuga placed the 20 Pokémon eggs brought back from the Day Care Center under the weather tree, where the original 31 Pokémon eggs were located. He instructed the Miltanks to take good care of them.

Then, Yuga took out two Poké Ball and released two Taillows. These two Taillows were casually tamed by Yuga from the Taillow flock, both possessing green potential.

As the two Taillows emerged, they appeared somewhat startled by the unfamiliar environment. Yuga said to them, "This will be your new home from now on. Get along well with the other Pokémon and don't cause trouble."

With these words, Yuga departed.

Unbeknownst to Yuga, as soon as he released the Taillows, Swellow perched on the crown of the weather tree took notice. It flew over to them and proceeded to subject the Taillows to a series of knocks and hits, ultimately making them its subordinates.

The two Zubats that Yuga had previously brought back were similarly taken as subordinates by Swellow.

Swellow had established its dominance within the Ecopark, and except for nearly the equivalent generation, no one dared to challenge it. Thus, when it decided to make someone its subordinate, the other Pokémon naturally had no objections. Over the past few days, the two Zubats had been intensively trained by Swellow.

As for why Swellow behaved this way, it was undoubtedly to impress its "goddess," the Honchkrow. It wanted to display its masculine side in front of her.

It had to be admitted that Swellow had a unique sense of humor.

However, by chance, the training provided by Swellow had indeed improved the capabilities of the two Zubats significantly. In a way, it had done something beneficial.

Yuga placed all the Pokémon he had with him, including Roselia, in the main Ecopark. Then, he took Snorlax and arrived at the oasis in the middle of the Desert Sub-Ecopark, the only place without Pokémon.

By the lakeside of the oasis, Yuga released Snorlax and said, "This will be your place to live from now on. You can freely eat any of the fruits from the trees around here." Yuga pointed towards the abundant fruit-bearing trees around the lake.

Excitedly, Snorlax let out a loud call and eagerly reached for the nearest fruit on a branch, stuffing it into its mouth and starting to eat.

Back in the Taillow forest, Snorlax had been interrupted by Yuga before it could eat its fill. Now, faced with this lavish feast, it couldn't hold back any longer.

Focused on its meal, Snorlax paid no attention to Yuga. Likewise, Yuga didn't disturb it and turned to the territory of the Gligars.

These days in the Ecopark had been comfortable, with plenty to eat and drink. The Gligar tribe had entered their peak breeding period, and many female Gligars had laid Pokémon eggs.

Although the potentials of these Gligars were all green or higher, a portion of the Pokémon eggs they produced were still of yellow potential, causing Yuga some distress.

Afterward, Yuga went to the Flygon territory and found a similar situation there. However, the Flygon produced fewer low-potential Pokémon eggs. After all, they had received the blessing of the Guardian Orb for generations, making their genetic heritage superior to the Gligars.

How should these Pokémon eggs be handled? Discarding them wasn't an option. But they couldn't remain in the Ecopark either, as allowing them to hatch and mate with other high-potential Pokémon would negatively impact their offspring.

After much consideration, Yuga reached a decision: to revive the business of selling Pokémon eggs.

He decided to continue his previous practice of selling these yellow-potential Pokémon eggs in the store. Unlike with juvenile Pokémon, there wouldn't be a monthly limit; the Pokémon eggs would be sold as many as there were available.

However, trainers interested in purchasing these Pokémon eggs would have to come to the store themselves. Unlike Pokémon, Pokémon eggs couldn't be contained in Poké Ball and transported using Trade Machine.

Reviving the Pokémon egg business would require a shop, and the counter that had previously held Pokémon eggs had been repurposed for Pokéblocks and was no longer usable.

At this moment, Yuga suddenly thought of Grandpa Banana. His house hadn't been sold yet, and Yuga currently had the funds for a new property. So why not buy it and convert it into a store?

Grandpa Banana's house was considerably larger than Yuga's, and it had a more prestigious appearance. Unlike Yuga's two-story building that appeared somewhat run-down on the outside.

However, this was just from the outside. After undergoing systematic renovations, the interior had a charming feel to it.

Yuga immediately contacted Grandpa Banana and arranged a meeting to discuss purchasing the house.

Grandpa Banana was no longer in Verdanturf Town; he had been taken to Rustboro City by his grandson Rei. If Yuga wanted to meet him, he would have to wait until tomorrow when Grandpa Banana returned.

Fortunately, Rustboro City wasn't far from Verdanturf Town, directly connected by Route 116, with only the Rusturf Tunnel in between. Traveling between the two places by car was very convenient.

The next afternoon, Grandpa Banana returned to Verdanturf Town, accompanied by his grandson Rei. They met with Yuga at Grandpa Banana's house.

"Little Yuga, it's been a long time. I didn't expect you to grow this tall," Rei remarked nostalgically. He remembered that when Yuga was a child, he used to follow behind him.

"Yeah, Big Brother Rei, it's been a while. You haven't been back to Verdanturf Town much since you left."

Yuga's impression of Rei was based on his original memories. He didn't really know much about Rei, especially since they hadn't seen each other in years.

"I went to study in Rustboro City, then worked there, got married. Naturally, I came back less often."

Rei also felt it – despite their strong bond from childhood, after so many years apart, they were mostly strangers now. Moreover, Yuga wasn't the same as he used to be.

Without dwelling too much on the past, Yuga and Grandpa Banana signed the contract, proceeded to handle the property transfer procedures, paid the necessary taxes, and received the property deed.

For the purchase of Grandpa Banana's house, Yuga spent just over a million, roughly equivalent to the price of selling two green-potential Pokémon.

Once the house was sold, Rei immediately took Grandpa Banana back to Rustboro City without lingering in Verdanturf Town. Yuga thought that there might not be another chance to meet them again, so he bid them farewell.

However, Grandpa Banana was still attached to Verdanturf Town. After all, he had spent his entire life here. His wife had passed away here, his son and grandson had grown up here, and there were so many old neighbors who had been companions for a lifetime. But now, Verdanturf Town no longer held a place for him.
