"Officer Jenny, it's better to recall your Electivire into its Poké Ball. This giant stone seems to be causing a lot of pain to Electric-type Pokémon," Yuga reminded Officer Jenny.
Officer Jenny also noticed the issue with her Electivire. Upon Yuga's reminder, she quickly recalled her Electivire.
"Do you have any clues about this giant stone?" the golden-haired ranger next to them asked Yuga's group.
Yuga's group simultaneously shook their heads, indicating they didn't know.
"By the way, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Jack Walker, but you can call me Jackie. I'm the ranger of this area," the golden-haired ranger said.
"I'm Gardenia. As you can see, I'm a police officer. This time, I'm here to assist Jackie in investigating the magnetic anomalies," Officer Jenny introduced herself. "Thank you for your help during the incident at Northridge. I appreciate it."
During the battle, what caught Gardenia's attention the most were Yuga and his two companions.
Flint and Volkner displayed extraordinary battle prowess, shining brightly in the fight. Yuga's combat strength might not have stood out much, but his powerful supportive abilities were unparalleled.
After hearing Jackie and Gardenia's introductions, Yuga's group also briefly introduced themselves.
"We three just arrived here as well. Like Officer Jenny, we followed Volkner's Luxray to get here," Flint said to Walker.
"But this giant stone is most likely the cause of the magnetic changes," Officer Jenny said. After approaching this giant stone, she experienced the same feelings of nausea and discomfort as Yuga's group did.
Walker looked at the giant stone before him and curiously said, "I've been a ranger here for some time, but why have I never noticed such a peculiar stone?"
Officer Jenny said, "This giant stone must have undergone recent changes. Previously, it probably looked no different from an ordinary stone, which is why it didn't catch anyone's attention."
Walker agreed with a nod and then asked, "Can you tell anything about the origin of this stone? Why does it cause the magnetic anomalies around Mount Coronet?"
Officer Jenny shook her head. "Not really. It looks just like an ordinary stone on the surface, except it's a bit larger."
Looking at the numerous holes covering the giant stone, Yuga suddenly suggested, "Do you think this giant stone could be a meteorite?"
Walker circled around the stone, slapped his forehead, and said, "Yeah, why didn't I think of that? Highly possible! These surrounding pits might have been caused by its impact."
Officer Jenny also nodded in agreement.
Flint patted Yuga's shoulder and said, "Impressive, your brain works well."
Yuga laughed and said, "Just a thought."
"If this is indeed a meteorite, it should have fallen a long time ago. But why did it suddenly become a problem now?" Officer Jenny wondered aloud.
"We should drive away these Electric-type Pokémon from this area. They all seem to be suffering greatly," Volkner suddenly suggested.
As a specialized Electric-type Pokémon trainer, he felt quite uncomfortable seeing so many Electric-type Pokémon in distress.
"Yes! It's very unsafe for these Pokémon to stay here. Let's get them away first," Officer Jenny agreed.
However, after a round of shooing, they found that despite the Electric-type Pokémon's obvious pain, none of them were willing to leave.
"Why aren't they willing to leave?" Walker asked curiously.
He had also attempted to use his ranger capture device to catch these Electric-type Pokémon, but like with the incident at Northridge, they couldn't be captured.
Just when Yuga and his companions were full of confusion, a circular dimensional rift suddenly appeared on the surface of the giant stone, and then the head of a creature emerged from it.
"Deoxys!" Yuga exclaimed.
Following Yuga's exclamation, Deoxys had completely emerged from the dimensional rift and was now floating calmly in front of them.
Gazing at Deoxys in the air, Yuga gulped and felt that things might not go well. He had never expected that this event would be connected to Deoxys.
Despite Deoxys's silent float in midair and lack of action, the overwhelming pressure it emitted made it hard to breathe.
After several minutes of silent staring, Deoxys emitted a peculiar sound, but nobody present could understand its meaning.
Deoxys's eyes shifted, and it made another strange noise, slightly different from the previous one, yet Yuga and his companions still couldn't offer any response.
"Deoxys, what are you trying to convey? We bear no ill intentions." After suppressing his sense of oppression for a while, Yuga mustered the courage to speak aloud.
After hearing Yuga's words, Deoxys's eyes shifted again, and it wasn't clear whether it understood or not.
In truth, even after Yuga said that, his heart was racing with anxiety. He was afraid that if Deoxys was even slightly unhappy, it might trigger something like a mental onslaught.
At this moment, Deoxys descended slowly from the air and stood on top of the giant stone. Suddenly, Yuga felt himself floating.
Seeing this, Gardenia, Jackie, Flint, and Volkner all grew restless. They wanted to intervene, but a protective energy shield suddenly materialized, keeping them all outside.
Yuga's Houndoom was currently ignoring the unintentional pressure emanating from Deoxys. It saw that Yuga was being taken away by Deoxys and began launching attacks frantically at the energy shield.
Sparks, Inferno, Roar... it used all the attacking moves it knew, even resorting to tearing, scratching, biting, and ramming. But nothing had any effect whatsoever.
Yuga was extremely anxious at this point as well. He wondered, could Deoxys possibly attack him just because he shouted earlier? It was terrifying to contemplate.
Deoxys, using Psychic, pulled Yuga close until they were face to face. Yuga nervously looked into its eyes, but he couldn't manage to say a word.
Deoxys slowly raised its right hand and placed it on Yuga's head, then closed its eyes.
Yuga thought Deoxys was about to crush his head, so he quickly shut his eyes too, too nervous to even scream.
However, the expected pain never came. Instead, a sentence inexplicably appeared in his mind: "Hello, human."
