I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon Chapter 251

"I suspect there's something within Magikarp that suppresses its evolution factors, and this something may be difficult to detect with machines," Nurse Joy speculated as she reviewed Magikarp' examination results.

Leaving the Pokémon Center with Magikarp, Yuga thought to himself: Based on Nurse Joy's findings, the Improved Pokéblock did have an effect on Magikarp, but it seemed to be counteracted by something else.

What could that something be? Even Nurse Joy couldn't identify it.

Unable to figure out the reason, Yuga decided to put Magikarp aside for now. However, he still planned to continue giving it the improved Pokéblocks. Even if the effect was minimal, it was better than doing nothing.

Yuga also considered that since Nurse Joy had confirmed the effectiveness of the improved Pokéblock, perhaps he could sell it in his shop as a special Pokéblock. This could be a significant boon for trainers looking to raise Magikarp, as the Magikarp family had struggled to evolve for many years – a task he had now achieved effortlessly, thanks in part to the system's assistance.

If the improved Pokéblock, which was suitable for all Water-type Pokémon, could promote the evolution of other Water-types, it might prove beneficial. However, the improved Pokéblock required high-cost materials like Water Stones, so if it were sold in stores, the price would likely be relatively high.

Yuga decided to discuss this further with Suzuki Koen.

When Yuga returned to the Day Care, he saw that Arata Sena had come to the old shop and was sitting there, talking to Suzuki Koen. Curious, Yuga asked, "Why did you come here?"

Arata Sena saw Yuga return and stood up, letting out a sigh. She replied, "Boss, you're finally back."

"What's got you sighing like that?"

Seeing Arata Sena , Yuga was puzzled. Arata Sena had changed significantly since his arrival at the Day Care. He was now capable of handling business matters efficiently, so he wondered what was troubling him.

Arata Sena answered, "A customer came to the new shop, and she insisted on seeing you. No matter how I tried to explain, she wouldn't leave."

A customer who wanted to see him?

"Alright, let's go see her."

With that, Yuga gestured for Arata Sena to lead the way to the new shop. He wondered why the customer was so insistent on meeting him.

On the way there, Yuga asked Arata Sena, "Do you know the reason she wants to see me?"

"I think it's related to buying Pokémon," Arata Sena replied uncertainly, "but she doesn't seem interested in the yellow-quality Pokémon in the new shop."

That likely meant she was interested in Gligar, Clauncher, or Trapinch, Yuga thought.

Upon entering the shop, Yuga saw a young woman with long pink hair sitting there, playing with a Pidgey. She looked to be about his age.

Upon hearing Yuga and Arata Sena's footsteps, the young woman stopped what she was doing and stood up.

"Hello, I'm the owner here, Yuga," Yuga introduced himself first.

The girl clearly knew Yuga and introduced herself naturally.

"Hello, I'm called Solidad," she said.

Yuga gestured towards the chair behind Solidad, inviting her to sit, and took a seat himself.

In this situation, Yuga was always straightforward and asked, "May I know the reason why Miss Solidad insisted on meeting me?"

"I want to buy an Clauncher," Solidad replied directly.

Yuga pointed to the Clauncher Pokémon Egg in the shop and said, "We don't have Clauncher currently, but there are Clauncher Pokémon Eggs in the store. Miss Solidad, you can rest assured and make your purchase."

However, Solidad's gaze didn't focus on the Pokémon Egg Yuga had pointed to. Instead, she smiled at him and said, "I think the shop owner should understand my intention."

Of course, Yuga understood her intention. She wanted a green-quality Clauncher, but unfortunately, Yuga couldn't agree to that.

"I'm sorry, Miss Solidad, but if it's what I'm thinking, you might be disappointed."

Solidad likely anticipated that the process wouldn't be straightforward and calmly responded, "I can accept a certain degree of markup."

"It's not about the money," Yuga replied. "It's a matter of basic integrity."

Solidad couldn't comprehend. Since YoYo Day Care had extra Pokémon and she was willing to pay, why would they refuse?

Seeing Solidad's puzzled expression, Yuga continued, "We have a quota system for selling Pokémon because we don't have enough Pokémon to meet the needs of all trainers."

"But as far as I know, you should have extra Claunchers," Solidad said.

"We do have some extra Claunchers, but not enough to meet the demands of all trainers, including you. Our quota system applies to all trainers, without exception," Yuga explained. "If I were to agree to your request today and word got out to other customers, what would we do? Where would our reputation stand? Reputation is the most important thing for a businessperson. Do you believe you're so special that I should break such an important rule for you?"

Yuga's words successfully silenced Solidad. After a while, she spoke, "But I genuinely came here to buy a Pokémon. I traveled all the way from Kanto for this, just to purchase an Clauncher."

"It's not about whether the customer is sincere or not. While we appreciate your support for YoYo Day Care, we must adhere to our principles."

Realizing that she couldn't persuade Yuga, Solidad left the new shop with her Pidgey, feeling regretful.

"You can always keep an eye on our website. Perhaps one day, we'll open up more slots," Yuga said to her retreating figure.

Solidad turned back, nodded at Yuga, and then disappeared into the crowd.

Seeing Solidad leave empty-handed, Arata Sena felt a bit sympathetic and said to Yuga, "Boss, since she came all the way from Kanto, couldn't we have sold her one?"

Yuga replied seriously, "Even if she came from the moon, we must adhere to our established rules. We are businesspeople, and if we can't even follow our own rules, it might be best to close shop."

After Yuga left, Arata Sena nodded thoughtfully.
