I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon Chapter 428

In Pewter City, Yuga bought a pile of supplies, and on the same day, he set out towards Raizen Mountain Range with Gon.

Yuga had promised Joe that he would help Gon become a Pokémon Trainer and guide him through the Rainbow Hero's Trial. Therefore, they were headed to the Raizen Mountain Range, as Gon had mentioned.

Yuga didn't ask Gon whether he wanted to become a Trainer or not. Regardless of his wishes, Gon had to become one, as Chatot couldn't wait any longer.

While Gon's body was still weak, making it hard for him to walk, Yuga had him ride on Absol's back for the journey. Absol's size, although not suitable for an adult like Yuga to ride, could easily carry the small and slender Gon without any strain.

Yuga didn't opt for public transportation to leave Pewter City because, on the way to the Raizen Mountain Range, he had to ensure Gon became a competent Trainer and prepared him for the Rainbow Hero's Trial.

The nearest city to the Raizen Mountain Range was Rainbow City, which was their final destination.

Their next stop after leaving Pewter City was the well-known location in the Kanto region, Mt. Silver.

Mt. Silver was treacherous to traverse, so most people chose to pass through the numerous caves that dotted the mountain. The mountain was filled with a labyrinth of tunnels.

While on the way to Mt. Silver, Yuga asked Gon, who was riding on Absol's back, "Are you sure you don't want to tell me anything about yourself? If there are people you want to see or places you want to go, I can take you there."

Gon pursed his lips, lowered his head, and remained silent.

Seeing that Gon still didn't want to talk, Yuga dropped the subject.

Yuga then asked, "Have you thought about your future? Do you want to become a Pokémon Trainer?"

Even though Yuga had already decided that he would make Gon a Trainer whether he wanted it or not, he still wanted to ask. If Gon wanted to become one on his own, it would make things easier.

"Trainer?" Gon questioned, looking confused.

"Yes, a Trainer!" Yuga replied.

After Yuga briefly explained what a Pokémon Trainer was, Gon's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"I... I want to become a Trainer like you!" This was the longest sentence Gon had said so far.

Hearing Gon's words, Yuga nodded with satisfaction. It was good that he was willing; it spared Yuga from having to be the bad guy.

And so, Yuga continued their journey towards Mt. Silver, occasionally engaging in conversation with Gon. This helped them become more familiar with each other, making future interactions easier.

The more Yuga spoke with Gon, the more doubts filled his mind. He noticed that Gon was incredibly "ignorant," lacking even the most basic life knowledge. He struggled to comprehend the world around him, including fundamental concepts.

Considering he was already ten years old, most children his age in the Pokémon world were starting their journey as Trainers with their starter Pokémon. Yet, Gon didn't even know what a starter Pokémon was, the purpose of a Poké Ball, or how Pokémon were captured.

Even in ancient societies, it seemed unlikely for someone to be so uninformed. While Rainbow Feathers selected individuals with pure hearts, Gon's situation was more complex than just naivety.

With a heart full of questions, Yuga simultaneously educated Gon on basic knowledge, both regarding everyday life and the Trainer world.

They traveled on, stopping occasionally, until they finally reached the base of Mt. Silver.

Because it was getting dark, Yuga decided not to rush up Mt. Silver with Gon but chose to spend the night at the base of the mountain.

Gon's body was incredibly weak, and the long journey had already taken a toll on him. Yuga was worried about pushing him too hard, but he also didn't want to delay too much.

In Pewter City, Yuga had bought various nutritional supplements suitable for helping Gon recover. He had even sought advice from Nurse Joy, all in an effort to improve Gon's health during this period.

Initially, Yuga had only taken care of Gon due to his commitment to Bell Tower's request. But now, he genuinely felt empathy for the child.

Gon's docile nature touched Yuga's heart. Even when he felt unwell due to his weakened condition during the journey, he refused to trouble Yuga and persevered, biting through the discomfort.

Furthermore, it seemed that Gon's condition wasn't simply due to malnutrition. Yuga gradually realized that it was more akin to a congenital ailment.

Fortunately, Yuga discovered that his unique Celebi Blessing ability could alleviate Gon's physical discomfort. He would use his special ability to give Gon massages from time to time.

Every time Yuga did this, he would see a genuinely happy smile on Gon's face, a smile that came from the heart.

Sometimes Yuga couldn't help but wonder if it was right to choose Gon to complete the Rainbow Hero's Trial. Was his fragile health suitable for becoming a Trainer?

Yuga didn't consider himself a particularly kind person, but when he looked at Gon, he would occasionally find himself immersed in self-doubt.

However, whenever he felt the growing shadow within Chatot's body, he had to firm up his resolve.

The next morning, Yuga went to Gon's tent to wake him up. To his surprise, when he opened the tent, he saw a miraculous scene.

Beside Gon, who was still sleeping, there was a Abra with its eyes closed. The Abra was leaning against Gon, emitting a pale blue aura of psychic power, which intertwined with the faint purple aura of psychic power emanating from Gon.

Yuga was taken aback by what he saw.

Why hadn't he noticed that Gon was a Psychic before? Given his Celebi Blessing ability, he should have been highly sensitive to supernatural power. Yet, despite spending so much time with Gon, he hadn't noticed it at all.

Moreover, the pale purple psychic aura emanating from Gon was incredibly strong, even surpassing that of a Psychic-type Pokémon like Abra.

It was important to note that psychic auras among Psychic-type Pokémon had different grades, typically classified as purple or blue, with the former being stronger. It was rare for blue auras to evolve into purple, and yet Gon possessed purple psychic power that even Abra didn't have.

As Yuga observed this astonishing scene, his doubts grew even deeper.

Who was this child, and what secrets did he hold?
