Apart from Yuga's group of four, there were many trainers heading to the forest south of Vermilion City to search for Entei.
As trainers, it was impossible not to be excited when facing legendary Pokémon. Of course, this excitement came with the prerequisite of having the corresponding strength; otherwise, it would remain a dream, just like Eusine's situation.
Even though it was getting late, Yuga and his team left the Vermilion City Pokémon Center, heading towards the southern forest.
"We're about to meet Entei. I'm so excited! I wonder when Suicune will appear," Eusine exclaimed with enthusiasm.
Yuga sighed in resignation. "Didn't I already say? Suicune has appeared in Cerulean City, so it won't appear again."
Eusine retorted, "There's no rule saying Suicune can only appear once. Maybe it's following us right now!"
Yuga shook his head in exasperation. This guy was beyond help.
After walking for a short while, Sabrina suddenly stopped in her tracks and pointed in a direction, saying, "I hear sounds of battle coming from over there."
Yuga and Eusine also halted and listened carefully, indeed hearing explosive noises.
Yuga said, "It's possible that Entei has appeared. Let's go take a look."
With that, the four of them hurried toward the source of the explosions.
When they arrived, they saw that many trainers had found Entei and were engaging it in battle.
At the scene, countless fainted Pokémon lay on the ground, no longer able to battle. Many trainers had joined the fight against Entei.
Unfortunately, these trainers were essentially cannon fodder. Entei could easily defeat several Pokémon with a single blast of its flames.
However, there were a few skilled trainers who had maintained the battle for quite some time, thanks to their extraordinary efforts.
Yuga asked Eusine, "Now that you've seen the power of Entei, do you still believe you can tame Suicune? Suicune's strength is no less than that of Entei."
Eusine remained silent, his gaze fixed on Entei surrounded by flames. Yuga couldn't fathom what was going through his mind.
While Eusine was lost in thought, Marshadow once again silently emerged from Yuga's shadow and crept toward Eusine's feet. Eusine suddenly felt like he had countless voices talking in his mind, incessantly, and just as he was about to speak, Marshadow swiftly retreated into Yuga's shadow.
Everything returned to normal as if nothing had happened, and no one noticed Marshadow's appearance.
However, it seemed that Entei no longer wanted to engage with these trainers. It raised its head and let out a deafening roar, and a surge of black energy radiated outward, causing all the participating Pokémon to transform into red light and return to their Poké Balls.
With these pesky "Caterpies" dealt with, Entei turned its gaze toward its true target.
Watching Entei steadily approach them step by step, Yuga and his team couldn't help but gulp nervously. It felt as though Entei's steps were crushing down on their chests.
Thinking back to their encounter with Suicune, Yuga quietly released Chimecho from her Poké Ball.
The reason he chose Chimecho over the stronger Gengar and Mismagius was that Chimecho was more adept at defense.
If Entei were to attack them, Yuga believed that, apart from defense, their attacks would be meaningless.
As Yuga released Chimecho, Gon also released his Kadabra. While Kadabra wasn't very strong, it could assist Chimecho in defense.
Seeing Gon release Kadabra, Sabrina took out a Poké Ball and summoned a Mr. Mime, quickly positioning it in front of Gon.
Observing this gesture by Mr. Mime, Gon couldn't help but smile slightly, feeling touched by Sabrina's actions.
Entei's pace was not fast as it slowly walked out of the crowd surrounding it. Step by step, it approached Yuga's group, with its gaze fixed firmly on Gon.
Finally, Entei reached a point not far from Yuga's group, gently leaped onto a large rock, and gazed down at them from a higher vantage point.
Other trainers who hadn't left the area yet were also curious about Entei's actions. Their gazes were directed towards Yuga's group, especially focused on Gon.
They were all quite intrigued by Yuga's group and wondered about their identity. They couldn't understand why the legendary Pokémon Entei was paying attention to them.
Some trainers even recognized Sabrina's identity, given her fame as a remarkable young trainer in the Kanto region. Not only was she renowned as a genius trainer, but she was also known for being the enigmatic Gym Leader of a nearby Gym.
Even though many trainers hadn't challenged the Saffron Gym or seen Sabrina in person, they were familiar with her appearance.
Regardless, the presence of strong trainers often aroused curiosity, even if it was mixed with apprehension.
Entei remained quietly focused on Yuga's group, or more accurately, it was only watching Gon. It didn't make any moves and then turned around and left.
When Suicune had appeared, it had launched an attack against Yuga and Gon. However, it seemed that Entei, for some reason, hadn't taken any action before departing. This puzzled both Yuga and Gon.
While Entei's arrival was far from low-key, it paled in comparison to the previous encounter with Suicune, which had occurred during a rainy and stormy weather.
After Entei left, other trainers turned their attention to Yuga's group, and they were very curious about why Entei was interested in them and their relationship with the legendary Pokémon.
Some trainers had already begun to approach Yuga's group, hoping to gather some clues since they failed to capture Entei. After all, one must continue to dream.
However, the trainers who recognized Sabrina's identity as the Gym Leader didn't dare to get too close. They were well aware of the terrifying rumors surrounding her and didn't want to stir up any trouble.
"Sabrina, have Chimecho and your Alakazam use Teleport together. Let's leave this place," Yuga whispered to Sabrina, seeing more and more people gathering around them.
Sabrina nodded gently in response, recalling her Mr. Mime. She then released her Alakazam. With a purple aura enveloping Alakazam and Chimecho, Yuga's group disappeared from their original location, leaving behind bewildered onlookers.
Unbeknownst to Yuga and the others, a member of Team Rocket, dressed in their uniform, had seen them. This Team Rocket member had assisted Professor in the lab and had encountered Gon many times, making him quite familiar with Gon's appearance.
The Team Rocket member had come to investigate the news about Entei and was surprised to find Gon here.
