The two Team Aqua soldiers guarding the door saluted respectfully when they saw Nigra. He then stood in front of an identification device next to the door, and the door promptly opened.
As the door swung open, Nigra stepped inside. Yuga, quick to follow, rushed in as well. Entrances , relying on facial recognition, were opportunities not to be missed.
However, the moment Yuga entered through the door, Nigra abruptly turned and cast a sharp, scrutinizing gaze in Yuga's direction.
Witnessing this, Yuga immediately held his breath, frozen in place, fearing that he might draw Nigra's attention.
After a while of tense silence without any signs of discovery, Nigra furrowed his brow, turned away, and looked elsewhere.
At this moment, a young man in a white lab coat turned to Nigra, curiosity in his voice, "What's wrong, Mr. Nigra?"
"Nothing," Nigra shook his head. "How is Dr. Jonathan's experiment progressing?"
Yuga, who initially thought Nigra had let his guard down, relaxed slightly. However, his interest was piqued again when he heard the mention of "Dr. Jonathan" and "experiment."
"The experiment has been challenging, and the doctor has been in a bad mood lately," the young man in the lab coat replied.
Upon hearing this, Nigra nodded and proceeded into the room.
Seeing Nigra move farther away, Yuga glanced around the room and noticed that it resembled a laboratory. However, his concern grew when he heard faint cries of distress from deep within the lab.
It was another Pokémon experiment! Yuga couldn't help but wonder why these antagonists had such a penchant for conducting experiments on Pokémon.
"Dr. Jonathan, how is the experiment progressing?" Nigra approached an elderly man with white hair, who was holding a test tube and focused on observing the blue liquid within, seemingly oblivious to Nigra's presence.
"Dr. Jonathan, I intend to step out for a moment," Nigra spoke again.
This time, Dr. Jonathan stopped his work, but he still didn't turn around. "Is there something you need outside?"
Nigra replied, "Yuuto has been captured by the League, and I plan to rescue him."
To Yuga's surprise, Nigra was willing to take the risk of rescuing Arata Yuuto, displaying a sense of loyalty and obligation.
Dr. Jonathan furrowed his brows upon hearing this but didn't look back, continuing his work. "If he's been captured, let him be. What's the point of rescuing him?"
His tone was cold and unfeeling, making Nigra uncomfortable.
"But I'm afraid that the League might extract information from him about this place, and that would create problems for us," Nigra added.
This time, Dr. Jonathan reluctantly nodded but still didn't turn around.
Nigra was about to express his gratitude when suddenly, alarm bells rang outside, their urgent and rapid sound echoing as if urging swift action.
Hearing the alarm, Yuga immediately knew that either Steven or Liliana had been exposed.
Upon hearing the alarm, Dr. Jonathan, showing impatience, halted his work and asked, "What's happening?"
Nigra, irritated by the interruption, replied, "I'll check outside."
He hurriedly left the room.
Nigra wasn't concerned about any issues in the lab because entering it required facial recognition. Only Dr. Jonathan, his assistant, and himself could access it. Even the guards outside couldn't enter.
However, what he didn't anticipate was that Yuga, with his invisibility ability, had infiltrated the lab and was following him.
Seeing Nigra leave the lab, Yuga was delighted; the opportunity had come!
While Nigra was gone, Yuga quietly moved behind Dr. Jonathan's assistant and promptly knocked him unconscious.
Witnessing his assistant suddenly collapsing without warning, Dr. Jonathan quickly grabbed a Poké Ball, alertly asking, "Who's there?"
Although he uttered the words "Who's there," Dr. Jonathan didn't believe someone could sneak into this lab without a trace. He suspected a Pokémon might have infiltrated.
Because there are many Pokémon who can become invisible, but I have never heard of humans being able to become invisible.
Just when Yuga wanted to knock Dr. Jonathan unconscious, Dr. Jonathan opened the Poke Ball in his hand and released a Floatzel.
This Floatzel is also a pseudo-Elite level Pokémon.
But it's not surprising that Jonathan has a pseudo-Elite level Pokémon in his hands. As a researcher of that kind of forbidden medicine, it's impossible for him to not use it himself.

Yuga didn't answer Dr. Jonathan's question. Instead, he ordered Gengar to launch an attack on the Floatzel.
However, the Floatzel, which had been artificially enhanced to the pseudo-Elite level, stood no chance against Gengar, a peak pseudo-Elite level Pokémon. It was swiftly defeated.
The intense battle between Gengar and Floatzel caused many of the cultivation chambers in the lab to shatter, enraging Dr. Jonathan.
"Damn you, you brat! I won't spare you!" The results of Dr. Jonathan's sleepless efforts were now shattered before his eyes, fuelling his hatred.
The Pokémon that had emerged from the shattered chambers slowly opened their eyes but soon closed them again. Yuga, who possessed special abilities, could sense that their life force had extinguished.
Seeing this, Yuga felt a tinge of guilt. He hadn't anticipated that these Pokémon would perish upon leaving their chambers. He had no idea what Dr. Jonathan had done to them.
However, on second thought, perhaps death wasn't such a bad fate for them. It was better than enduring torture in this place.
At this moment, only one massive cultivation chamber remained in the lab, housing a gigantic Lapras. But from the Lapras's furrowed brow, Yuga could tell its condition was far from optimistic.
