Immortal Creed Chapter 84

"Is that all? You're truly insane; we're going to die."

Hearing this, Ben forced a wry smile, but still drew his longsword and assumed a stance, aiming it at the other Dark Guards in the storeroom.

Liens didn't respond to Ben further, but instead said to the trembling counter attendant, "Lead the way. Do you want me to find someone else? You wouldn't want to know the consequences of that."

This time, the counter attendant didn't say much. He quickly grabbed a bunch of keys from under the counter and, trembling, walked to the large door leading into the storeroom.

Liens continued to hold his sword to his neck, watching him use a trembling hand to grasp the keys, unlock the door, and step inside.

Liens and Ben followed closely, walking in, then closing the door, temporarily cutting off those gazes from outside that seemed capable of killing people.

Inside the storeroom, the lighting was ample, thanks to the constantly lit magic stone lamps.

Moreover, although no windows or doors were visible, the air quality was surprisingly good, indicating well-designed ventilation facilities.

Upon entering, the first things that caught the eye were not the various items on display, but a series of tightly shut rooms.

Seeing this, Liens showed a look of realization and continued to ask the counter attendant, "So that's how it is. No wonder you brought a large bunch of keys in. So, where are the rooms for the potions and valuable items?"

"Sir, if I open the rooms where those things are kept, will you let me go?"

The counter attendant pleaded with Liens, his voice tearful.

"Not yet. Until I see the Elemental Baptism Potion, I won't let you go."

Liens responded with a light chuckle.

"My lord, sir… there really is no Elemental Baptism Potion in the storeroom."

"How could the Glenbagen Family place such precious things in a location accessible to small fries like us?"

"Please just consider me a fart and let me go."

The counter attendant once again begged Liens to spare him.

Liens didn't respond to him but instead directly ordered, "Open the doors, immediately, right now."

Whether there is or isn't, he would only know after seeing it.

Even if there really wasn't an Elemental Baptism Potion, exploring the storeroom was an experience.

Perhaps, in the future, he would have a chance to come here in reality.

Hearing Liens's command, the counter attendant had no choice but to step forward and open two doors.

Now he could only pray that he would survive while not receiving too severe a punishment from the Glenbagen Family.

Because he knew his actions were being watched clearly by the Glenbagen Family's administrators.

Unfortunately, the Glenbagen Family couldn't hear what they were saying, otherwise his culpability would be greatly reduced.

"Ben, you keep an eye on him for now. I'll go in and see if there's anything we want."

Liens said to Ben, then quickly walked into the opened storage room.

Perhaps for convenience, all items in the room were categorized and labeled with their corresponding names.

So, he easily knew what was inside the room.

Soon, Liens finished looking through the items in both rooms, and indeed, there was no Elemental Baptism Potion.

Feeling a bit unwilling, he asked the counter attendant to open all the rooms, and the counter attendant could only show a mournful expression, continuing to fulfill his request.

"It's truly over now… I can only hope these two robbers will let me go?"

"I didn't do it on purpose, so the Glenbagen Family's punishment should, probably, not be too severe, right?"

"Sigh, unlucky… I hope I can survive in the end."

The counter attendant sighed inwardly about his luck while opening doors.

Finally, Liens searched through all the storage rooms but couldn't find the Elemental Baptism Potion. However, he did see many unfamiliar items, which could be considered a broadening of his horizons.

"It seems the Elemental Baptism Potion is either made on the spot, or it's kept in a higher-level storeroom."

Liens shook his head and sighed with some disappointment.

The plan to become an Extraordinary One in one go had failed…

Liens handed Ben a finely crafted longsword and said, "Let's go, Ben. We'll meet those Dark Guard seniors outside."

When he entered the armory, he also casually took two excellent longswords, which were much better than the standard longswords they currently carried.

He remembered that if he were to exchange them, it would probably cost 2000 contribution points, so two would be 4000.

"Go? You can't go. If I really let you leave here with things, it would be my dereliction of duty."

A man's voice sounded, and then the large door connecting to the outside opened. Text acquired from M|V|LEMP&YR.

The three people in the storeroom looked in the direction of the voice and saw a tall, handsome young man in luxurious clothing slowly walking in.

In addition, some Dark Guards also stood outside the door, watching Liens and his companions, but none of them chose to enter.

"Lord Adonis, they forced me to open the storeroom door. I was compelled to do it."

"Please, my lord, consider my hard work and forgive your subordinate's dereliction of duty to some extent?"

The counter attendant, as if seeing a life Rafter , began to wail to the newcomer.

He even wanted to crawl directly over to his "Lord Adonis," kneel, and beg for forgiveness.

However, Liens stopped him. He couldn't stand anyone showing off in front of him.

Currently, the only person who could show off in front of him and remain unharmed was the instructor.

He couldn't defeat him, so there was nothing he could do.

But for this flashy guy in front of him, Liens wouldn't indulge him.

Liens kicked the counter attendant and said to Ben, "Ben, keep an eye on this kid. I'll go test the level of this 'Lord Adonis.'"

Ben nodded, then pulled the counter attendant aside, making space for the two confronting individuals.

Liens, holding his sword in his right hand, said to Adonis, who also held a sword, "You shouldn't be of the Glenbagen Family bloodline, should you?"

If he were of the Glenbagen Family bloodline, he wouldn't need to draw his sword to deal with him, a Dark Guard; he could just cast a spell.

"Oh, you don't know me? It seems you're a newcomer, no wonder you're so bold."

Adonis showed a knowing expression.

"I didn't know you before, but I do now… I just don't know if your strength matches your flashiness?"

After Liens finished speaking, he directly stepped forward and charged towards Adonis.

"I also want to know what kind of strength supports such audacious behavior from you?"

Adonis responded calmly.

He didn't care about Liens calling him flashy, because he was always very lenient with dead people.

Longswords clashed, and Liens was pushed back a step.

"This power… is he an Extraordinary Knight?"

"Interesting, truly too interesting… I've finally found another person to duel with."

"Adonis, I truly remember you now."

Liens stared at Adonis in front of him with piercing eyes, silently muttering in his heart.
