Immortal Creed Chapter 87

"Is it her?" Liens looked up at the woman beside Adonis, thinking to himself.

The woman was very young, good-looking, graceful, gorgeously dressed, and exquisitely made up, fitting Liens' impression of a noble lady.

She and Adonis stood together, a handsome man and a beautiful woman, a very well-matched pair.

"Heidi, is that you? I thought it was someone else from the Glenbagen Family who came here." Adonis responded softly to the woman.

Liens' earlier abnormality had already been noticed by him; he had previously guessed that someone from the Glenbagen Family had cast the "contract" punishment spell.

He just hadn't expected the person to be his own wife.

"I saw you were injured in the Scrying Mirror, so I rushed over. I didn't interrupt your fighting, did I?" Heidi explained to Adonis.

"No, thank you for caring so much about me… Fortunately, I had the protection ring you gave me."

"Otherwise, I might not have made it out of here, and I might never have seen you again…" Adonis held Heidi's soft hand with his right hand, which was free of blood, and gazed at Heidi's beautiful face with gentle eyes.

"What! That hateful guy actually put you in such danger."

"Damn it… I should have just let him die just now." Heidi said fiercely, turning her gaze to Liens, who was kneeling on the ground, glaring at him.

"It's okay, it's okay now… Aren't I standing here perfectly fine?"

"Don't be angry, it's not good for your health." Adonis comforted Heidi.

After speaking, the two snuggled together, showing their affection, completely ignoring everyone else present.

"Tsk!" Liens spat out the blood in his mouth, a look of disgust on his face.

As an old man whose age combined from two lives was almost 40, even if he was now indifferent to such displays of affection, the scene before him still made him feel a wave of nausea.

"Is it jealousy? He's handsome, strong, and can even latch onto a rich woman."

"Damn it! Why don't I, a Transmigrator, get such treatment?" Thinking of this, a wave of desolation rose in Liens' heart.

Considering what he had encountered since transmigrating, he wondered if he wasn't the protagonist of some tragic novel?

Heartbroken… Liens directly exited the instance, too lazy to watch the two of them display their affection any longer.

He already knew who it was; he would find an opportunity to get revenge later.

Speaking of which, his mental blacklist already had almost 10 people on it, most of whom were from the Glenbagen Family.

It seemed he would have to find an opportunity to settle accounts with them all later.

Liens arrived in the small forest of the Military Fortress from last night, which was also where he had "tested" Jonathan last night.

Liens instantly drew his longsword and placed it against Jonathan's neck at an extremely fast speed, asking him: "Senior Jonathan, I have a question for you?"

"Good sir, just say whatever you want to say. I'm not worthy of being called Senior, not worthy at all." Jonathan felt the faint sharpness from his neck and immediately put on an awkward smile.

He hadn't expected the newcomer beside him to directly attack him, and the attack was so swift that he was caught off guard and had his vital point seized.

"Who is Adonis? Who is Heidi? What is their relationship?" Liens threw a series of questions at Jonathan, stating his doubts in a calm tone.

"Adonis? Oh, oh… That guy, he's a lucky fellow." Jonathan's face was full of envy.

"He's the one I told you about before, who took the Elemental Baptism Potion, then advanced to an Extraordinary Knight, and finally became a dark guard in charge of the Glenbagen Family."

"Oh, the Elemental Baptism Potion is the potion I mentioned earlier."

The most up‑to‑date version is on *.

"As for Miss Heidi, she's a beauty, and she's also the Eldest Young Lady of the Glenbagen Family. It's a shame that Adonis got such a good deal."

"If it weren't for Miss Heidi's existence, that kid wouldn't have been able to get the Elemental Baptism Potion at all."

"He and I are from the same batch. I haven't even accumulated half the contribution points yet, so how could he have exchanged for the potion in less than a year?"

"Finally, the relationship between Adonis and Miss Heidi… they are now husband and wife; their wedding was last year."

"I heard that many nobles attended the wedding banquet at that time, and dark guards like us didn't even have a chance to get in and freeload." Jonathan continued to reply with an envious and jealous tone.

"Then do you know where they live?" Liens nodded, then continued to ask.

If he knew where Adonis lived, he could directly go and test his sword on him, and wouldn't have to painstakingly wait for someone by "robbing the storeroom."

"Uh… About that, I don't usually pay much attention to such things… Can we change the question? I'll answer it well, I promise!" Jonathan said, full of a desire to survive.

Liens didn't reply, but directly exited the instance.

He asked Jonathan these questions simply to save time; if he didn't know, then so be it.

Later, he would actively explore the Glenbagen Family's stronghold himself, and then, would he be afraid of not finding Adonis's residence?

However, he had a lot of things to do right now, so "lighting up the map" would temporarily be listed as a backup plan.

The scene switched again.

Liens arrived at Vili Avenue in the Outer City, Third District.

Looking at the house in front of him, Liens ignored the gazes of the people on the street and directly kicked open the tightly closed window with force.

As the sealed space was broken, a foul stench spread from inside the house.

Passersby who had initially seen Liens' violent behavior and wanted to stop or inquire immediately dared not approach after smelling the foul odor.

Because, in addition to the smell of decay, the foul odor also had a strong smell of blood.

Realizing that something bad had likely happened inside the house, others naturally dared not approach rashly.

It was fine to show kindness for minor matters, but for major incidents that might involve dead people, it was better not to get involved.

What if they brought trouble upon themselves?

However, many people had a curious mentality, so although everyone did not approach the house, they spontaneously gathered around, silently waiting for further developments.

Liens stood outside the house, waited for a while, and after a good deal of the foul odor inside had dissipated, he entered through the broken window.

His actions caused a series of exclamations from the onlookers, who all began to discuss who Liens could possibly be.

Of course, discussion was discussion, but everyone strictly adhered to the bystander's code.

Which was—just watch, don't get involved.

Upon entering the room, Liens quickly saw the corpse lying on the ground and the dried blood.

Almost a fatal blow, it seemed Ben really didn't hold back.

Aside from the corpse, the only thing in the house that differed from a normal room was probably the "mysterious pattern" Ben had mentioned.

Just as Ben had said, it was almost everywhere.

The pattern, like a set of scales, had seemingly become the most important symbol of this house.

Liens began to search through everything in the house, but aside from chaotic records and gibberish, he found nothing special.

The only thing truly worth noting was probably a divine name—God of Absolute Fairness.

Realizing that he couldn't find any other clues, Liens exited the instance.
