The young man was instantly overjoyed to see the elder and rushed to stand in front of him. “Ancestor Xue!”

Led by Wu Cuocai, all members of the Parting Fiery Dao Sect bowed respectfully to the elder, their happiness evident.
The elder nodded slightly, then looked up and down at the young man, suddenly smiling, “Young one, it’s been many years since we last met, hasn’t it? Looks like you have reached the mid stage of the Foundation Building Realm. I see you’ve improved since the last time we met. You’ve put in a lot of effort in your cultivation. Excellent.”
The young man chuckled. “Ancestor Xue, I’ve missed you greatly over the years. I was eager for you to emerge from your seclusion and offer me some guidance.”
The elder smiled and patted the young man’s shoulder lightly. “It’s no trouble, no trouble. Am I not out now?”
Elder Xu and the others were surprised. This elder was clearly the Parting Fiery Dao Sect’s strongest expert, a cultivator at the Enlightenment Realm. Yet, strangely enough, he seemed very close to this young man.
“Ancestor, have you succeeded in your seclusion?” Wu Cuocai asked emotionally.
The elder smiled and nodded. “Well said. Indeed, you are my favorite; your temperament is just right for me, unlike Wu Cuocai and your father, who are all timid as mice.” 𝘳
Sect Leader Zhang and the others looked quite embarrassed.
Wu Cuocai forced a smile. “Ancestor, it’s not that I am timid. I am just worried about attracting powerful enemies to our sect. If you think it’s appropriate, I will follow your instructions.”
He turned to Fang Chen with a smile. “Daoist Fang, my apologies. Today, our esteemed Ancestor Xue has emerged from seclusion, and he might have some concerns about you.”
“Li Daoye, aren’t you able to predict and divine? You said you wouldn’t die today, but it seems you are wrong,” the young man taunted, looking at Li Daoye with derision.
Li Daoye’s expression was peculiar as he glanced at Fang Chen and secretly transmitted a message, “Lord Fang, is Black and White here?”
Seeing Fang Chen nod slightly, Li Daoye’s heart was reassured. He smiled and shot back, “I never make mistakes in my divinations. I won’t be dying here. Just watch.”
With a sinister smile, the young man slowly walked behind the elder.
“Well then, you’ve disposed of over a hundred of our disciples. Hand over your lightning technique as compensation. I won’t make things difficult for you. You can leave afterward,” the elder said to Fang Chen indifferently.
The expressions of Elder Xu and the others changed slightly. That elder clearly had murderous intentions and planned to keep them all here. Since they were demanding the technique, they couldn't let the matter end so easily.
“Daoist Fang, just listen to the elder. Hand over your Lightning Technique, then kneel and kowtow to the elder a few times to ask for forgiveness. That way, our misunderstanding can be resolved,” Wu Cuocai said with a smile.
