Immortality Starts From Making Money. Chapter 30

The Dust Valley Sect outpost had undergone a massive change. The outpost was overcrowded with ordinary people.

Apart from that, one hundred meters from the outpost, a massive construction project was underway.

All the elders and disciples watched the ongoing construction in confusion. Standing calmly among the workers, Mo Jian was engaged in a serious conversation with them.

"What is the Sect Master's son doing?"

"I don't know, but I hope it won't affect us."

"You're right. We're barely holding our ground against the Vengeful Spirits."

"Can't the elders stop him? This is insane."

Slowly, the disciples began voicing their concerns. The few core disciples at the outpost looked at the scene with conflicted expressions.

Against Mo Jian, all their power and seniority were useless. They could only hope the elders would put a stop to his antics.

Standing atop the highest building, Elder Duan observed the ongoing construction. She tried to understand what Mo Jian was trying to accomplish, but she couldn't guess his intentions.

This was a battlefield against the Vengeful Spirits. Why would anyone build anything here?

"Elder Duan, why don't we stop him?" an old inner elder asked in a low voice. "With the continuous flow of mortals, the number of Vengeful Spirits will increase."

"Do you think I don't know that?" Elder Duan responded sharply. "There is nothing we can do about it. Increase the patrol around the outpost, and from now on, there will be a curfew at six."

The inner elders sighed, shaking their heads as they left the tall tower.

"Master, the disciples are complaining," Jin Ru said in a low voice.

"Ignore them. Tell me about the Radiant Sect," Elder Duan said, unfazed by the disciples' complaints.

Before Mo Jian started the project, he had already reported it to the sect and informed her. But what she did not expect was that the project would be this large.

Furthermore, all of the construction was funded out of his own pocket without using the sect's resources. So, why was anyone complaining?

As for Mo Jian, he heard the disciples' complaints but chose to ignore them.

"How long will it take to complete this project?" he asked a middle-aged man—the leader of the construction company.

"Young Master, at this rate, it will take us up to three months," Old Wang replied after thinking for a moment.

"No. That's too long. I want it completed in less than a month."

"What?! That's impossible."

"Why? Tell me what you need to complete it in less than a month."

Old Wang wore a troubled look. This was the first time he had received such a massive project with such a short deadline.

"What if the disciples help you, and I employ thousands of workers?" Mo Jian asked. "Can it be completed?"

"If that is the case, we can complete it in less than a month," Old Wang responded confidently.

"Good. I'll handle it immediately."

With that, Mo Jian left the construction site and returned to the outpost.

He took out his Spirit Link and sent a message to Zhao Tian—they needed more workers.

While he was sending messages, the surrounding disciples glared daggers at him.

Once he finished, Mo Jian raised his head and looked at them.

"I want to present an opportunity to earn Spirit Stones," he began slowly. His voice was not loud, but it immediately caught everyone's attention.

"Work at the construction site and earn 500 Spirit Stones daily."

All the nearby disciples widened their eyes in disbelief.

"Young Master, are you serious?" an outer court disciple asked, his voice trembling.

"Why would I lie to you? This is a rare opportunity for all of you."

With that, he left the field while the disciples were still in shock.

Five hundred Spirit Stones was no small amount. With that kind of wealth, they wouldn't have to worry about their needs for six months to a year.

The Dust Valley Sect outpost had undergone a massive transformation. The once-small outpost had turned into a bustling town filled with people.

In the distance, a massive circular coliseum towered over everything, standing over 30 meters tall.

Its imposing presence made everyone feel like mere ants in its shadow.

But what puzzled them most was—why would the Sect Master's son build such a colossal structure at a border plagued by Vengeful Spirits?

Rumors and speculation spread among the disciples and ordinary people.

But Mo Jian was too lazy to care.

For the past three weeks, he had been extremely busy.

Deep beneath the coliseum were numerous rooms covered in intricate array formations.

In one of the largest rooms, Mo Jian watched as a group of old men worked diligently.

They were blacksmiths, employed from the Thousand Wealth Chamber.

At the heart of the room, a flickering flame danced back and forth—it was the Ember Flame.

The blacksmiths were using it to forge weapons and armor.

An old blacksmith approached Mo Jian with a confident smile.

"Young Master, we've completed the first batch."

"Good. Tonight, we'll test the weapons and armor against the Vengeful Spirits."

Many people had wondered why he built such a massive coliseum at the border.

It was to conceal the presence of the Ember Flame while also creating a venue to sell the weapons and armor forged from it.

And tonight, they would finally put them to the test.
