Immortality Starts From Making Money. Chapter 50

For Mo Jian, he had been busy at the border for the past month. His massive project in the middle of the forest had shocked everyone.

Compared to the construction of the Blood Fury Arena, this massive undertaking was on another level.

Many speculated about what he was trying to do, but none of them came close to the truth.

Apart from the massive project in the middle of the forest, Mo Jian sent many people to explore the forest for rare herbs and crops.

Additionally, the hunting of vengeful spirits had become more active.

Under his orders, they cleared more than ten kilometers in the past month. With this, it became easier for people to venture into the forest.

As for the Thousand Wealth Chamber venturing into farming, it was all part of his plan.

For his influence to cover the entire Western Region, he had to delve into the primary occupation of the ordinary people—farming.

He purchased the Codex of Thousand Spirit Crops from the system store, costing him 10,000 IP.

Through it, he discovered the secret of cultivating Azure Jade Rice, Earth Vein Sorghum, and other valuable crops.

Now, his plans were progressing smoothly. He couldn’t wait for the development of the ruins to be completed.

He also did not neglect his training. After his last encounter with the Wailing Revenant, his determination to grow stronger was renewed.

Thus, he spent 3,000 IP to buy three Earth-Grade techniques:

Sword technique: Heavenly Thunder Slash

Fist technique: Titan Crushing Fist

Movement technique: Phantom Mirage Steps

With these techniques, he joined the arena battles under a mask and won five consecutive matches.

After the fifth battle, he lost interest since all the challengers were too weak to stimulate his fighting instincts.

Most of them were between Foundation Realm Stage-1 and Stage-2, with no Stage-3 warriors.

Even if there had been a Stage-3 Foundation Realm warrior, they would not have posed a threat, as he had already broken through to Stage-4.

He took a look at his current stats:

[Talent: Purple Superior Grade]

[Cultivation: Foundation Realm stage 4]

Fist Talent: Steady Learner.

Sword Talent: Steady Learner.

Runes Talent: Steady Learner.

Array Formation: Steady Learner.

[Influence Point :160, 000 IP]

Grand Tome of Mortal Ores.

Tome of Restless Spirits.

Codex of Thousand Arrays.

Codex of Thousand Spirit Crops.

While watching a battle between two Foundation Realm warriors, he heard a knock. Without averting his gaze, he responded, "Enter."

The door opened, and Uncle Mo entered. Looking at the lavishly decorated room, he couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

"Uncle Mo, I hope you come with good news?" Mo Jian asked, finally turning to look at him.

Uncle Mo smiled sheepishly. "Yes, Young Master. The project will be completed in two weeks."

"Good!" Mo Jian nodded. "I knew you wouldn’t disappoint me."

When Uncle Mo heard this, a sigh of relief escaped from his mouth.

Although Mo Jian was not intimidating and was quite approachable, the pressure he exuded was no less than that of arrogant young masters—perhaps even more.

As Uncle Mo departed, Mo Jian shook his head and refocused on the ongoing battle. Just then, his Spirit Link vibrated.

Checking the notification, his brows furrowed. The message was from Supreme Elder Zhao, requesting him to return to the sect immediately.

Why would the elder summon me so urgently? he wondered. After a moment’s thought, he decided not to dwell on it.

He called his steward, Hao Yang.

"Young Master, please give me your instructions." Hao Yang bowed with deep respect.

"Monitor the training of the chefs, and I don’t want any errors. If anything arises after I depart for the sect, inform me immediately."

After giving his orders, Mo Jian left the Blood Fury Arena and returned to the sect.

Mo Jian arrived at the sect and went to visit Supreme Elder Zhao.

"Jian, take a seat," Elder Zhao said with an amicable smile.

"Thank you, Elder." Mo Jian sat opposite him, observing the elder’s expression.

"Are you preparing for the upcoming annual tournament?" Elder Zhao asked slowly.

Mo Jian did not hesitate. "I’m not."

Elder Zhao was shocked by his direct response. "Why? Don’t you intend to represent the sect in this year’s tournament?"

"No." He shook his head. "I’d rather focus on my business than fighting."

"With your strength, this tournament won’t pose a threat to you."

"I know, but I’m not interested. If we were fighting a sect outside the Western Region, I might be interested."

Elder Zhao scrutinized Mo Jian but found no deception in his words. A helpless sigh escaped his lips.

"I don’t know why you’ve changed so much... Anyway, your parents appointed you as the leader for this year’s tournament before their trip."

"What?! Why would they do that?" Mo Jian exclaimed, shocked that his parents had thrown such a heavy burden on him.

"Why? You’re the Sect Master’s son and the strongest among the disciples." Elder Zhao clicked his tongue in annoyance.

Leaving Elder Zhao’s courtyard, Mo Jian was lost in thought. His plan had been to use the fame of this year’s tournament to promote his new business.

And now, he would have to postpone it.

"My plan doesn’t have to change... I just need to make some adjustments." He muttered, a bright smile forming on his face.

At the back of the sect, the door to a simple hut was pushed open, and the sect ancestor stepped out.

His withered old face had disappeared, replaced by that of a middle-aged man. Apart from that, a powerful aura emanated from his body—

The aura of a Golden Core Expert.

"Hahaha! Finally..." A wild grin plastered his face.

"Ancestor, congratulations on your breakthrough." The Sect Master said with a bright smile.

The moment had finally arrived to take revenge on those who had looked down on them.

"Should I announce your breakthrough?" he asked with anticipation.

"No..." The Ancestor shook his head. "We must not startle the snake. Let’s wait for the tournament. That will be the day of their destruction."

His eyes flashed blood-red for a split second before returning to normal.
